STL Rams - Sam Bradford

As a Rams fan I wish they would take Suh but at the end of the day I think Bradford will be the pick as long as he medically cleared. I would like to see the Rams make a move with TB to move back to #3 and pick up a extra #2 or #3 or a nice player and still land Bradford (also save some $$$)

Detroit - Ndamukong Suh

The best player in the draft. Schwart gets his anchor for his defense. Detroit is puttin some pieces together to build a good team. Being able to put Suh, Vondenboesch and Corey Williams together on that line will definetly improve their defense.

TB - Gerald McCoy

I think TB wants Suh but will settle for McCoy. I think these first three picks are locks

Washington - Russell Okung

This is where the draft gets interesting. With the retiring of Samuels I think they need help rebuilding that oline. Okung is a nice prospect with good size and good feet. I know everyone things Shanny is going to go with his QB here but I think Campbell is better than some think.

KC Chiefs - Eric Berry

KC needs a play maker on defense and Berry will provide that. Berry is going to improve that defense day 1. KC is a team on the rise IMO as long as Cassell can make plays which I 'm not 100% sold on yet.

Seattle - Jimmy Claussen

Everyone knows that Pete Carroll was in love with Claussen coming into college and was crushed when he signed with ND. He gets his chance to get his guy this time around. Hasselbeck is done and the Seahawks have to look into the future with this pick. Claussen might get to sit for a year and learn the ropes but if he has to play he should be ready to contribute.

Cleveland - Joe Haden

Despite his bad combine Haden is still the #1 cb on the board. Cle. has a need for playmakers on d and I think Haden will be starting day 1.

Oakland - Bruce Campbell

Workout warrior who looks like a future HOF'er when he gets of the bus......perfect fit for the Raiders. He does fill a need for the Raiders at the LT position. I think he has alot of upside but he also has a huge risk tag on him.

Buffalo - Brian Bugala

Some think A. Davis will be the pick here but I think Bugala is a more sure thing for Buffalo. Despite needing a QB in the worst way Buff is a lock to take a LT with their first pick.

Jax - Jason Pierre-Paul

Jacksonville needs to get a guy who can sack the QB. As good as their D can be they have no one on the roster that can get pressure. Some people might think that getting a past Florida player like Dunlap would be a better PR move but Pierre-Paul offers much more talent and doesn't have some of the baggage that Dunlap brings.

Denver - Dan Williams

Got to clog up that middle. Denver's D has been awful over the last 2 years. Wiliams brings the beef the need

Miami - Roland McClain

If he is here he is the pick. Kid is an animal and brings youth to the LB position. I think Dez Bryant could be a thought here but his character issues wouldn't fit with the coaching staff in Miami.

SF - Taylor Mays

Physical speciman who made himself some nice coin at the combine. The SF coaching staff loves the intensity he can bring to that defense. While he might not be great in coverage you can't teach what he has in pure talent.

Seattle - Anthony Davis

As much as I think they would consider CJ SPiller here they need to protect their earlier investment of Claussen and they need to get a LT here. Davis is a solid pick here and will start day 1. Very good draft so far for Seattle.

NYG - Brian Price (assuming they sign A. Rolle in FA)

NYG like beef on their line. I like this pick to keep winning in the trenches. If the NYG don't get Rolle I think E. Thomas would be the pick but I feel very comfortable in thinking Rolle wil be a Giant.

Tennessee Titans - Derrick Morgan

They could look LB here or perhaps somewhere in the secondary but I think Morgan is a very good value pick and addresses a need. Tenn has a nice young defense and Morgan should fit in nicely

SF - CJ Spiller

This is a pick I see alot and I question if it could happen and when I think about I think it would really put this offense together nicely. Spiller can return kicks and punts, he is an excellent pass catcher and would be a great fill in for Frank Gore. If Spiller makes it to this pick he will be a 49'er.

Pittsburgh - Mike Iupati

Pitt needs help on the Oline and Iupati brings flexability. He should be a starter day one and help that Pitt running game for the future.

ATL - Carlos Dunlap

Jamal Anderson is a bust. Time to realize that and move on. Dunlap has some question marks about his character but he also has top 10 talent.

Houton Texans - Earl Thomas

As they run up to make this selection they fill a huge need in the secondary. This completes their defense and makes them a serious contender int eh AAFC South. They will look to get the rb in round 2

Cinncinati - Golden Tate

Maybe a surprise that Tate is the first wr off the board but he fits what the Bengals need more than Bryant. The Bengals let Coles go so right now their wr #2 isn't looking that strong. Tate would fill in the void nicely.

NE - Brandon Graham

Knowing the Pats they would probably trade down here but if they stay pat they could use some speed on the outside.

GB Packers - Sergio Kindle

The Packers need someone else except for Clay Matthews to get some pressure. Kindle would fit in that new 3-4 nicely

Philly - Patrick Robinson

Philly has the advantage to take a nice young player to groom instead of an immediate need due to their great depth. When you look at this team they are very deep at all positions. Robinson could start as a nickel corner and grow into a nice starter.

Balt - Dez Bryant

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Balt gets a gift. Bryant is just what they needed and Balt feels they have a mature enough clubhouse to eliminate any worries about off the field issues with Bryant. This would really be a great pick for Balt.

Arizona Cardinals - Brandon Spikes

With Dansby being a possible cap casulity this offseason Spikes woulod be a nice option to help build this young defense. Arizona is actually looking really nice for the future with alot of young talent.

Dallas - Kyle Wilson

I know alot of Dallas fans would like to see an OLINE selection here but I think you might see Newman on his last leg in Dallas. He is definetly not the shutdown corner he was suppose to be a couple of years ago. Wilson is a nice additon to a very good defense.

SD Chargers - Ryan Matthews

Darren Sproles isn't the answer in the backfield for long term. Matthews IMO is the best rb in this class and will give SD what they have been missing the last couple of years with a wore out LT. Matthews will be a beast between the tackles.

NYJ - Demaryius Thomas

I know this might surprise some people but with this kids size he is going in the first round. The broken foot might scare some people but he is an absolute monster. They need to get their future qb some weapons. I don't see Edwards being the long term answer at wideout but a nice fill in gap until Thomas is ready.

Minnesota Vikings - Ricky Sapp

LB is the biggest need for the Vikings but they cold use some depth. Sapp is very versatile and would build depth for an already deep Defense.

Indy - Sean Witherspoon

Alot of lb's going late in the first and Witherspoon would be a great fit for a Caldwell defense. Very disciplined and very talented. He can rush, stop the rn and get deep. A very good fit.

New Orleans - Charles Brown

You can never have too many olinemen. This is a depth pick in case needed on a rainy day.

Notable 2nd rond picks

STL - Arrelious Benn

Det. - Jonathon Dwyer

Washington - J. Best

Cle - Jermaine Grisham

TB - Damien Williams

SF - Tim Tebow

Houston - Toby Gerhart

Dallas - Desmon Briscoe

I would be happy with this pick. The Packers need to bring pressure on the QB, this kid could be an elite bookend to Clay.

I'm a Chiefs fan in mid-Missouri so I get equal coverage of both teams...I'm think Benn to STL in the 2nd is a smart move and goes well with the idea of taking Bradford at #1.

I think STL or Tampa are the ideal places for Benn to land.

I was listening to 'Movin' The Chains' on NFL radio yesterday and they were comparing Thomas to Calvin Johnson... Said there's a lot of buzz around him right now - I'd be surprised to see him NOT go in the 1st.That said, I'm not sure the Jets are the right landing place - Depends on if they really are going after Boldin or not. Sounds like they might be and if so then I assume they'd address other needs with that pick.

I heard the same thing on Sirius. As for the Boldin thing, with the NYJ giving up a 3, perhaps even a #2 next year for Cromartie I can see them giving another high pick to get Boldin and have to give Boldin and Cromartie alot of $$$ next year to keep them.Atleast thats my reasoning

I would argue that Thomas is the most physically gifted WR to come out of the last two classes. He just lacks the polish that some of the others had. He is a riskier proposition than others, but his ceiling is very high.

Who is this Balckjacks you speak of?-GQ
??????????
Read your thread title...ETA: It's a good looking mock imo.
Thanks.......and thanks.I didn't like putting all those LB's at the end of the first but they made sense.
Good job on the mock, btw :hot: I know you were just typing fast but figured you'd appreciate the tip-off :cry:I have a funny feeling the Bengals might go Tate as well, but Bryant falling that far would still be a pretty big surprise. If there's that many WRs available at their spot, I could see the Bengals trading down a little bit. I'm hoping we go all Al Davis and pick a speedy field-stretcher type.-QG

Alright, so lets say Dez does fall........He will be drafted in the top 15, if not 1 of the 1st 15 teams takes him, someone will trade up to get him.

Personally I dont think he gets out of the top 8

Not happy with the Dunlap pick, I would rather see us take Weatherspoon or Kindle at OLB.

Agree that Seattle needs to start thinking in terms of Matt's successor. Anyone else think Seattle might be the team to target Tebow, and let him learn from Matt?

I'd say there is only a minuscule chance that the Niners come out of the first 2 rounds without a OT.
U wouldn't be happy with Mays, Spiller and Tebow?
As an SF fan, I would be looking for the tallest bridge to jump of. Golden Gate or Bay Bridge. Either one would work.............I don't care about this combine numbers, Mays can't cover anyone. They won't spend the #13 pick on someone who will be using his speed to chase down receivers after they are by him.Spiller would be a luxury. Gore has another 2-3 years in him and they have time to fill that position. They need players who can fill weaknesses and make a difference now.Tebow? No thanks. If this draft played out in the first 12 picks, Davis would be the choice at 13. Guaranteed. At 17, either Thomas or Iupati would be the choice. I would love to see them fix the O-line by using both first rounders on a Davis, Buloga or Williams selection at 13 and Iupati at 17. Since DBs are so deep this year, they can address that area in rounds 2-3............

Less than minuscule............ The made no attempt to resign Pashos, so they are going OT early. Hope they use both first rounders on the OL. Gotta fix it. We keep waiting on Baas to step up and be the player they thought they were getting when they spent a high 2nd rounder on him. After 5 years, I have my doubts. Iupati would cure a lot of ills..........

I like the 49ers picks, they need O-line help more than they need Spiller BUT they could use Spiller and Spiller is better than the O-line available in this mock, taking the best player is the way to go, I wouldn't mind the 49ers hitting up Dez at that pick, I'd have no problem using a pick on another WR even if we have Crabtree.

golden gate is the highest suspension bridge in the world! :goodposting:

Spiller may be a luxury pick but he'd have an immediate impact on the offense and score points. You need points to win. I see the 49ers taking the OL at pick #13 and see if Spiller falls to them at 17. If Seattle takes Spiller at 14 then the Niners go BPA whether it be offense or defense. If they are enamored with Spiller they can take him at 13 and still get a decent OL at pick 17. Secondary help could then be addressed in the 2nd,3rd or FA. I would still take Spiller at 13 if it were up to me as I'm not sold on Coffee getting the job done should Gore miss any time. In today's NFL you need two very good rb's and taking Spiller would give the Niners 2 pretty good rb's. I'd rather have Spiller and an OL than an OL and a DB(Haden or Mays)

I don't get why these FBG mocks all have Spiller going to the niners based on a "need" for better returner. It's almost as though draftniks don't entirely believe in Spiller's value but feel in their gut he should go top 20, so they lop him in with the niners because they don't have a quality kick returner. There's only one problem: these are the niners, not the Raiders. The OL has been a huge weakness of the niners, and the DBs were exposed last year. The first two picks will be an OT and a S. Book it.

 Also, there is an excellent chance that Best will be on the board at 2.17 and IMO, he is in the same class as Spiller. I would be a big fan of taking Best at that point. If he's gone, no big. They can address the RB situation next year or later in this draft. They need to fix the OL and secondary. Do that and they have a team that can go deep into the playoffs if Smith plays solid QB...............

Golden Gate it is if they take a Mays/Spiller first round combo, but I'm feeling pretty safe. Thomas will be a much better player than Mays. If they go safety, that will be the move............

No it isn't. :blackdot: That honor goes to the Royal Gorge Bridge in Canon City, Colorado, at over 1000 ft above the Arkansas River.

I like Witherspoon but I think Kindle is more suited to play outside on a 3-4 D

I think if Mays is used in the correct way he could be astud. OKay, so he is isn't the best cover guy, than don't have him cover. Use him as a rover like STL did awhile ago with Archueletta and use his strength instead of his weakness.I had Gore in fantasy last year and I know how much he comes out of the game. I like Gore and while he is in he is a workhorse but he comes out of the game ALOT and they have no one who can replace him, Also when talking about Gore you have to be worried about his injury status, When Alex Smith is your qb you have to make sure you have playmakers out of the backfield. I like the Spiller pick.Your coach will fall in love with Tebow. Why use (2) #1's on your offensive tackles? I really like Stanley. You need playmakers. SF is a team to watch out for this year.

Yah, this draft is terrible from a 49er fan perspetive.
