Bloom's Top 15 DE's with Commentary (1 Viewer)

Comments, anyone? I have some non-standard rankings here and expect some WHAT WHAT WHAT reactions.
I guess I liked the read of other scouting reports for Crowder and McDonald better than where you've ranked them but I don't watch near the tape you do. But, overall, I don't think it's too crazy. I'm not sure what to think of Moses based on the reports I've read and I share your opinion of Francis' upside.

How many of these do you think will be Rush OLB's? Possible as many as 5?

Crowder and McDonald are lower on my list because I value game-changing plays greatly when I am ranking and neither of these guys are game breakers, or the kind of force that Carriker could be, freeing up other game breakers. They seem like good rotation guys to me, not too shabby, but carrying less value in this sick class of ends.

7 Ikaika Alama-Francis Hawaii 6'5" 280 lbs.Alama-Francis has as much upside as anyone on this list. You read that correctly. He didn't even play football at Hawaii until his second year on campus. Since then, he transformed from a lanky 6'5 220 basketball player to a 6'5" 280 beast of an end who is not done developing, not even close. Alama-Francis has just scratched the surface of his potential. Ikaika's athleticism is mind-boggling, he just needs to learn to how harness it with good technique. His natural size, speed, quicks, strength, motor, and intangibles are all outstanding, and with a few years of good coaching, he might make a whole slew of teams rue the day they passed on him.
Gil Brandt was talking about him on Seruis as a good TE prospect. Apparently, he worked out as a TE on his pro day and looked excellent catching the ball. As a former basketball player, he might be a natural at the TE spot. Brandt went on to say that he is a Jason Taylor type player. Of course that got my attention but also confused me because I did not know at the time that he was a DE prospect as well. It will be interesting to see where he goes in the draft.

somewhat of a  opinion, but if Woodley really is the 8th best DE in this class, this will be one of the best classes for DEs in a long time.

good bloodlines, too, & he has been well schooled... his father played for packers in 60s, i think, as QB or RB...

no doubt, if a guy who can get afeter the QB and create plays like Woodley is not top five, the class has to be thick, very thick
