He's a shade shorter than Drew Brees. Big deal.
Would LOVE for this to happen.- Minny and Cleve both use their full time allowed in hopes of trading down. Both unsuccessfully. Take Kalil and Richardson.
- Someone trades up into the top 10, but doesn't take Tannehill.
- Eagles pull a Denver by selecting twice on opening day. Ship Asante + 2013 1st Rounder + 2013 3rd for the21st (bengals), 22nd (browns), or 27th (pats) overall pick.
- There will be more first round trades then any year in NFL history.
- No Offensive Players are taken from picks 15-25. 10 straight defensive players.
CSN New England's Tom Curran is hearing from multiple sources that the Patriots would target Alabama S Mark Barron if they made a trade to move up in the draft.
The Pats certainly have a need opposite Patrick Chung. They also have the ammo to trade up from No. 27, but they would have to give up quite a bit to move in front of the Cowboys at No. 14. As SI.com's Peter King suggested early in the week, Barron's stock is steadily on the rise.
Russel Wilson ends up the best quarterback in the class after being selected in the third round.
I agree.Russel Wilson ends up the best quarterback in the class after being selected in the third round.Whoever gets him will be lucky. I pray the Seahawks draft him.
Fleener or Allen to Green Bay.I think fleener goes top 15, and 2 TEs go in first round.
No way the Eagles give up Asante + a 1st for a 1st...More like Asante + just a 2013 3rd for a 2012 1st.IMO it would be dumb to trade Asante, but it seems like thats what they want to do.- Eagles pull a Denver by selecting twice on opening day. Ship Asante + 2013 1st Rounder + 2013 3rd for the 21st (bengals), 22nd (browns), or 27th (pats) overall pick.
You've got to be kidding me. Asante + 2013 3rd rounder for 2012 1st?!?!?!? Not in a million years would any team do that. Most teams, even the eagles are putting a 4th round grade on Asante. If we got a 3rd rounder that would be HUGE. No way a 3rd and next years 3rd would equal a this years first. No way the Eagles give up Asante + a 1st for a 1st...More like Asante + just a 2013 3rd for a 2012 1st.IMO it would be dumb to trade Asante, but it seems like thats what they want to do.- Eagles pull a Denver by selecting twice on opening day. And it was just reported that they will get no more then a sixth rounder, yet you are putting a 1st or 2nd round grade on him. Remember, they say you drop a round the next year so a 2013 3rd would be like a 4th and Asante for a 1st. Madness. No way the Eagles give up Asante + a 1st for a 1st...More like Asante + just a 2013 3rd for a 2012 1st.IMO it would be dumb to trade Asante, but it seems like thats what they want to do.- Eagles pull a Denver by selecting twice on opening day. Asante's worth a late first, but those trades never go that way (trade anything higher than a 2nd) so yeah what I said would probably never happen. I guess his cap hit downgrades his value vs. pure talent but he is as good or better as 90% of the players that are going to get drafted at that point without the bust risk. Not to mention all those teams you listed are way under the cap, so his salary doesnt really matter as much. Theyd be crazy not to trade a 4th+ round pick for him. Not only does Philly get fleeced in a deal like that, but they also would in your originally proposed deal (Essentially trade Asante + 2013 3rd for a case of Bud Lime). Great moves Philly! And it was just reported that they will get no more then a sixth rounder, yet you are putting a 1st or 2nd round grade on him. He's also way older those guys. He's 31, he doesn't have too long left, and had injury concerns not to mention the massive contract. Don't think there's one other person on earth besides you and asante that think he's worth a 1st rounder... or even a second rounder. If you think Philly gets fleeced sending him off for a 4th rounder, you wont be happy when he's dealt for a 6th rounder which is aparently his max value in talks around the league.Asante's worth a late first, but those trades never go that way (trade anything higher than a 2nd) so yeah what I said would probably never happen. oops.More like Asante + just a 2013 3rd for a 2012 1st.
Not bold. More likely...likely.Doug Martin to Denver in the 1st round.
Weak sauce, looking for bold. Try again. When the grades pour in the Dolphins get an F.
The Browns get an A and are graded best draft.Weak sauce, looking for bold. Try again. When the grades pour in the Dolphins get an F.
Better. They are loaded w/ picks and this should be the draft that makes the needle move a bit. Too bad that they are in a meat grinder division though.'Multiple Scores said:The Browns get an A and are graded best draft.'Tackling Dummies said:Weak sauce, looking for bold. I like that you are making bold predictions. I don't like that you think the Vikings can pull off a bunch of moves for a buttload of picks. It's the Vikings. Odds are, they try to work trades that don't materialize, time out on their pick, panic, and then reach for somebody they could have had in the 3rd Round.Minnesota trades down to 5 with Tampa.Tampa takes Richardson.Cleveland trades down with Buffalo.Buffalo takes Kalil.Minnesota trades down again with Arizona.Arizona takes Claiborne.Minnesota takes Reiff and gets a boatload of picks this year and next year to fill in multiple needs.
Yeah I've read he's off the board for a lot of teams.Janoris Jenkins either goes to the Bengals or falls out of the first 3 rounds. This punk should go undrafted as he is a thug/loser and will continue to be a thug/loser. The guy is already on par with Pacman Jones.
This is the bold predictions thread, no?Either way, Philly got owned and ATL made the best move of the offseason thus far.oops.More like Asante + just a 2013 3rd for a 2012 1st.
I think this scenario could happen, except I don't think Minny would pass on Claibourne at 5.Minnesota trades down to 5 with Tampa.Tampa takes Richardson.Cleveland trades down with Buffalo.Buffalo takes Kalil.Minnesota trades down again with Arizona.Arizona takes Claiborne.Minnesota takes Reiff and gets a boatload of picks this year and next year to fill in multiple needs.
NopeI think fleener goes top 15, and 2 TEs go in first round.
He dropped pretty farJags take Chandler Jones at 7.
Owned? No other team offered even a fifth rounder... but I guess you're a better judge of talent then 31 NFL teams' executives. C'mon dude. Best pick up of the offseason? Hardly. Not even sure how good he'll do there... .they will work a 3 good cb rotation, he's still paid a lot of money. This is the bold predictions thread, no?Either way, Philly got owned and ATL made the best move of the offseason thus far.oops.More like Asante + just a 2013 3rd for a 2012 1st.
Could still go undrafted... but aparently there's lots of talk about him going super early in the second.Yeah I've read he's off the board for a lot of teams.Janoris Jenkins either goes to the Bengals or falls out of the first 3 rounds. This punk should go undrafted as he is a thug/loser and will continue to be a thug/loser. The guy is already on par with Pacman Jones.
Pretty close... was definitely the most everThere will be 11+ trades in the 1st round. Last year there were... 4?
They had their chance.... must not have liked him enough. Not bold. More likely...likely.Doug Martin to Denver in the 1st round.
Good Call... and he went even higher then thatShea McClellin goes in the 20's
1 from group A, 1 from group BCLE somehow gets both Trent Richardson and Ryan Tannehill. Or, Justin Blackmon and Brandon Weeden for an Oklahoma State connection.
BURN BABY BURN!Weeden would still be on the board at 37.If they take Weeden at 22 I'm burning all of my Browns clothing.Following a theme we use for each Fantasy Football season, i thought we should start a thread on bold predictions for the upcoming NFL draft. Most of these won't come true since they are bold predictions, but its kind of fun to see the possibilities. I'll start.
There's a lot of talk about Cleveland's choices at the #4 pick. Many say they will take either Trent Richardson or, more recently, Ryan Tannehill. I think they instead go with Justin Blackmon at #4 (thats not the bold part) then do somewhat of a reach at #22 and take Brandon Weeden at QB. Luck, Griffin, and Tannehil will all be off the board by then and Cleveland needs a QB (even though the Browns are saying thay are sticking with Colt McCoy). Weeden is ranked as the #4 QB coming out, is older and more mature, and already has a chemistry with Blackmon. Might work out nicely and pay quick dividends.
What are your bold predictions?
Pretty good guess! The Dallas Cowboys trade the 1.14, 3.18, and Felix Jones to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the rights to draft Morris Claiborne at 1.5.
you went TOO bold I think.Tannehill drops to the late 2nd round.Weeden drops to the 4th round. Some team in the 1st round has their clock expire and they miss their pickI dunno, trying to be BOLD here.
