Good news everyone! I leave for vacation in less than a week. That means you'll have 12 days without me. I know I'll be missed.

Anyways, I haven't been reading as much as I used to so I don't really know what book(s) to get. Back in the day I would read Dan Brown or James Rollins or Steve Berry so I guess I sort of like that thriller/action genre but I think I'd read pretty much anything.

So was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Thanks

Since I enjoyed Swan Song, I picked up McCammon's Boy's Life after it was suggested somewhere on these boards. Pretty good so far. Another "coming of age" type of story.Next up: Jack Ketchum's Girl Next Door, Phillip ****'s Counterfeit Unrealities, or Harlan Ellison's Angry Candy, depending on...

It's 10 years old but if you haven't read The Pilgrim by Terry Hayes I'd give it a shot. I read it on a vacation about 2 months ago and really enjoyed it. Spy/detective thriller.

That's a good one. I'll add in Lonesome Dove (great western, incredible characters) and if you want something fantasy/hysterical pick up Dungeon Crawler Carl. Those two are the best I've read going back a few years.
