can we assume that Bowe will actually play in weeks 15 and 16? KC could be far gone by then, so is there incentive for them to play him?

Also dropping in redraft. His stats thus far, probable production, and upcoming schedule when back aren't worth the wasted valuable roster spot. Today's the trade deadline I'll see if I can trade him for trash for someone who might want him for the final weeks if not then he's gone.Wow, what a weekend. Lost game, back in tie for division lead, Ronnie Brown out, my newly acquired VJax gave me 1 point, and now Bowe gone. Also I play top team in league this week so could lose 2 straight and fall out of division lead. FF fortunes change quickly! I was on a 4-game win streak and 1 game up with a great roster coming into week 10.

"Banned substance" isn't nec. the same as PEDBanned substances include masking agents, Starcaps etc.

I had Bowe pegged as a top 10 before the season easily. Boy was I wrong.

Tomlin said today that Polamalu was doubtful for this week but wouldn't rule him out yet either. I think this cinches that he sits.

Right, that's what I'm saying. Here's a commentary from http://www.arrowheadpride.com/ (everything below quoted)Adam Schefter of ESPN is sifting through the current situation with Dwayne Bowe that has him suspended for four games by the NFL. Per Schefter, Bowe likely took something to help him lose weight, similar to the situation with Kevin and Pat Williams in Minnesota.
"From what I gather," Schefter tweets, "Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe was trying to lose weight in training camp and took a diuretic. Bowe found out about his suspension earlier this month and has decided not to appeal it. He knows those are battles players don't win."
Wow.
The irony in all this is that head coach Todd Haley ran what he called the toughest training camp in the NFL and demanded many players lose weight. Haley has said the Chiefs as a team lost over 800 pounds.
Bowe was reportedly one of those players who had to lose weight. I've heard (but haven't confirmed) that he was asked to lose over 20 pounds.
Bowe's decision not to appeal it is a good one, I think. It's unlikely he would have emerged victorious and the best move would be let it end now.
This also makes me wonder if Bowe's suspension, which the team and player knew about a month ago, had any bearing on the decision to sign Chris Chambers.

How far in advance of this announcement do you supposed the Chiefs knew that this was in the works. Usually there is some passage of time between the postive test and the suspension, so I wonder if they signed Chambers knowing this was coming.

According to Schefter, Bowe found out earlier this month, so the timing sounds about right...
Well, nice to see this news along with Ronnie getting hurt. What a wonderful season I am having. To think that this past weekend I was actually saying how glad I am to be past bye weeks and injuries to finally start Wayne, Calvin and Bowe and have them combine for 24 receptions, 301 yards and 2 TDs. I knew it was too good to be true.

I have Ronnie Brown, Cedric Benson, and Bowe, so now roster spots are more valuable than platinum righ this minute.
I don't think it was any surprise Chambers was seing more balls come his way, they were prepping the whole time for this day to come.
I could use some good news for my team, anyone want to share theirs, it might put a smile on my face! TIA

dropped him for chambers, he was nothign special before the suspension so who cares. nothing to lose, if chambers doesnt pan out ill cut him next week and add the next hot WW pickup, not wasting roster spot on this loser, id rather have flexibility.

fwiw the starcaaps case was very unique, because the company changed the formula without changing the packaging, so there were issues of notice/fairness at play. The players also has the starcaps tested for legality prior to the change. I doubt this situation is similar really.
