Brand New Startup Dynasty League Forming (1 Viewer)

PPR Dynasty 12 Teams, Startup, 6 pts all tds, 25 man rosters, Looking for owners to join

PPR is set up a little differently than usual. For running backs it's 0.5 points per catch. For wide receivers it's 1.0 per catch and for tight ends it's 1.5 per catch.

It's a pretty basic set up besides the ppr. Standard yardage and touchdown league. No crazy wrinkles. Draft right after the NFL draft. Rookie draft each year of 3 rounds.

Typical starters: 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 te, 1 flex (rb/wr/te), 1k, 1 team d

Money hasn't been determined but it's open to a vote. Won't be more than $100 entry fee and that will include the MFL site fee. So $100 total max or less.

Draft will be snake style and randomly determined by a site like fftoolbox.com or MFL.

Looking for active owners of course. PM or reply here if interested.

I would be interested. However, any new leagues I join I prefer we use leaguesafe. Will that be the case for this league? Also, here is a list of questions I have.

1) What is the latest that all payouts will be made after our FF Super Bowl?

2) Are waivers open in the off-season? (I hope so, but can live with it either way). If so, how are they set up? I know it won't be worst-to-first for off-season, so it's either FCFS or a combo of blind bidding then FCFS. How soon after our Super Bowl are waivers open? For in-season waivers, will it be worst-to-first, then FCFS, or blind bidding, then first-come-first-serve?

3) I assume trading is open year round except after week ?? through our Super Bowl.

4) How far out into the future can you trade draft picks?

5) Is there a fee for trading draft picks, and if there is, I expect that $$$ will go back to the person trading the pick as long as he's still in the league for the year of the traded pick.

6) Are there veto possibilities for trades?

7) When is the trading deadline?

8) In the off-season do you have to carry a defense and kicker?

9) Are FCFS waivers still available to teams after the start of Thursday games as long as you don't pickup players who played on Thursday?

10) Do we allow placeholders for players not in the player database?

11) How many teams make the playoffs (hopefully 6) and what is the playoff structure? I see you have 3 divisions, so I assume the top 3 seeds will be division winners. Does the points champ make the playoffs automatically? If yes, what would be the seed?

12) Please don't use weekly playouts, it sucks. Add it to playoff payouts. I know you haven't decided on a league entry fee yet, but in case you want a starting point, here is the league payout system from one of my leagues. Obviously your payout system will be somewhat different, but don't waste a lot of money with regular season payouts amounts. At least have making the playoffs get you most of your entry fee back.

XVII. Prize Money

Make the playoffs = $100 (6 x 100 = 600)

Division Champ Game - $100 (2 x 100 = 200)

Super Bowl Champs - $300 (1 x 300 = 300)

Points Champ = $100 (1 x 100 = 100)

600 + 200 + 300 + 100 = 1200

JohnnyU,If I miss anything just let me know. We will use paypal or league safe. Since paypal is pretty weak we'll probably go with league safe. I already have an account set up with them. Payouts will be directly after the FF bowl - the next day.Waivers will be open during the offseason as FCFS. During the season it will be worst-to-first during waivers until tuesday evening-wednesday morning and then FCFS until Sunday morning first game. Trading is off during the fantasy playoffs and then allowed again once the fantasy bowl is over. Right now I have trading set up for the current year picks and one year out. So right now if we made a trade I would only be able to trade my 2011 and 2012 picks, not 2013. If an owner decides in the current year to trade future year picks then he must pay for half of the league fee for that year. So, if you trade 2012 picks you owe half of the 2012 entry fee. If we decide to allow and an owner trades 2013 picks as well then he must pay half of the 2013 entry fee. I will not allow owners to trade future picks, not win it all, and then decide to abandon his/her team. There will be no veto of trades unless it is absolutely horrible. I don't like vetoing trades because you never know what happens. At the beginning of this season if someone traded Hillis and Arian Foster for Peterson and Chris Johnson the whole league would have been in total chaos saying it should be vetoed and that's why I think all trades should go through unless it's early picks for a McNabb or something. Trade deadline is at the end of October or beginning of November. I can't remember when I set it for.Offseason - no need to carry a defense or kicker. You can drop anyone at any time. Keep players for as long as you would like. Are FCFS waivers still available to teams after the start of Thursday games as long as you don't pickup players who played on Thursday? Yes. Do we allow placeholders for players not in the player database? No. NFL free agents are also displayed in the fantasy free agent list so if you want him, pick him up. If a player gets added during the season to an NFL team and to our free agent list, then it's waivers. How many teams make the playoffs (hopefully 6) and what is the playoff structure? I see you have 3 divisions, so I assume the top 3 seeds will be division winners. Does the points champ make the playoffs automatically? If yes, what would be the seed? 6 teams in the playoffs and the structure is top seed (by record and then points) vs. lowest seed. Total points winner does not get in if he/she is not in the top 6 seeds. Payouts I do not know yet because we haven't decided entry fee yet. If you want in, pm with an email address. Thanks.

One last question about trade fees. The 1/2 entry fee I had to pay because I traded a future pick is still mine as long as I'm still in the league the year of the traded pick, correct? I would only owe for the other half of the entry fee that year and I'm paid in full.

Exactly. If you traded a 2012 pick and then paid half the 2012 fee you would then only owe the rest of the fee.
