Brave, new browser by Mozilla founder. Brave Rewards now live on ios (1 Viewer)

I'm glad you like it.  I've been using it for better or worse since the first time I ever heard of it, back in August of 17 when it was a mess.  It's come a long way since then though.

Yes, I believe the browser holds the BAT for you until you pass KYC verification (through an external provider like Uphold).  I'm not familiar with Brave wallet just yet but apparently it's out.  Also, I believe most people prefer Gemini for BAT withdrawals.  I understand it's a little easier on the fees and I think you can also collect interest on your BAT holdings if you prefer.
Good to know, thanks! I'm already set up on Uphold, but definitely will check out Gemini if it's cheaper to transfer there. Mainly wanted to make sure it was safe to connect Uphold wallet to Brave via their built in interface. You've done that? Or you just have all your BAT sitting on Brave? (and yeah, I said Brave Wallet, but I didn't mean the new feature-which I haven't tried yet-, I meant the in-browser holdings). And wow, you must have a pretty good chunk earned by now! Nice.

I'll give it a shot - not liking the layout though, may have to play around with it.

I don't think I have used this much at all since - but giving it a shot today.

One thing that is becoming annoying - somehow I keep toggling the emoji menu every time I type the letter "e" . Any ideas?

Wish I could say that were the case, but I've earned almost zero the whole time.  I went through a tutorial for how to get ads, and the only thing that appears to be blocking it is the use of a gaming mouse.  I've gotten ads on every other computer just fine, work computers and the like, but I've never gotten it to work on my home computer.  SAD!

Is this on a Mac or something?  Never run into that on Windows

Yeah - on a Mac

Had to switch back to safari.  I have not found anything on google to describe the issue, and could not find any settings in Brave.  I don't know if its a Mac thing, or maybe my wireless keyboard.

I've not had that issue, nor could I find any setting in Brave describing that.  My guess is it's some sort of Hotkey function on your computer or keyboard software

I don't know.  Brave says that the emojis are mapped to "fn e" - same as safari. But, just an e pulls up the emojis.  I tested safari to see if maybe my fn key was stuck - but it worked appropriately on safari.

I have a short term work around, as I can leave that emoji pop-up window open and dragged to the side, but still a bit odd.

I started using it because I was tired of Chrome being a resource hog, but Brave is just a re-skin so it has the same problems.  I still use it half the time because, hey, if my CPU is going to get bogged down with hung browser tasks I may as well earn a few bucks while it happens.

My biggest problem is actually crypto wallets.  Metamask just destroys CPU and both Chrome/Brave are bad at closing it out even when you lock it, so my CPU ends up running at constant 80% and if I'm on my laptop the fans are just blasting.

Brave's new built-in wallet is actually really appealing in this sense since it doesn't run as an extension and should avoid these CPU issues.  But it's not as user-friendly as Metamask yet (adding a new network has like 14 options instead of the 4 in Metamask) and with it being so easy to accidentally lose your crypto I haven't built up the nerve to try and figure it out yet, at risk of screwing up.
