Braylon Edwards arrested for DUI (1 Viewer)

Love listening to these Jets homers. :hot:

Your team relished all the attention in the preseason when they were hyped as SB favorites, so now they get to see the flipside of it with all the bad press. You're seriously surprised when the players get held to a different standard than the Dolphins?

THE JETS CAN'T SUSPEND HIM. They can't. it is not in their power to suspend him. It is against the deal the union and league negotiated. They can fine him. The league can suspend him for four games IF this is a second offense. We don't know because that is confidential information
Really? I remember three years ago when the Panthers suspended Jeremy Bridges for two games when he got arrested for assaulting someone in a restaurant when he and his wife were celebrating their 6th month wedding anniversary. He shook a bottle of champagne and it accidentally went on other patrons resulting in a verbal confrontation. The Panthers suspended him for conduct detrimental to the team, and this was the first time he had ever gotten in trouble. The charges against him were later dropped.
Really...Discipline for alcohol-related violations of law is handled by the league. Teams CANNOT suspend or deactivate for DUI arrests per CBA rules. Seems like a dumb rule, but a rule nonetheless.

It is a dumb rule and questionable rule, and although the Jets can't suspend or deactivate him, they could bench him for the entire game instead of just sitting him out for the first series.
