BRIAN LEONARD = STUD (1 Viewer)

I was not implying he will take over for SJax, but he will shine and be starting in 3 years.
:excited:He'll be starting this year...as a fullback/H-back.I think he does have all the tools to accel, but alas...he has the white man disease.
And that's not racist how?Saying white running backs are ineffective because they are not athletic enough is like saying black quarterbacks are generally ineffective as pure pocket passers because they aren't smart enough to read defenses.
So, are you suggesting that white running backs are unfairly not being given the opportunity, then? This seems pretty clear that lack of opportunity explained why there were so few (or no) black QBs until recently. If it's not physical skill, then what's your explanation for why so few white RBs have jobs in the NFL?
I didn't say blacks don't make good QBs. I said there are very few good black pocket passers. Still. I do agree that the RB position favors those of black decent as they have the potential to be faster, more agile. My point was (perhaps relayed ineffectively), why is it racist to point out that blacks don't make good pocket passers, but not racist to point out that blacks make better runningbacks? Its not an opportunity issue. Its a pathetic double standard in my opinion.

If Jackson and the rest of the Rams offense wouldnt have looked so terrible in the first three weeks I would definitely be buying this, but I dont see it happening giving the current situation

Hey guys. Thanks for dragging the "white/black" discussion out so we can sift through three pages of garbage to get some actual FF insight on Leonard.

obviously the person posting the OP is a moron (just look at my sig for irrefutable evidence) and likely a pretty poor judge of talent.

despite that, Leonard has skills and could be pretty darn good given the right opportunity.
 that doesn't look like such a sure misjudge of talent on MJD anymore..

I think the 1000 pound elephant in the room has dropped a big one in the middle of the room and is starting to pace the room. Look out the beast looks pissed......... :fishing:

Their endzone dances are terrible, that's why. White guys just can't dance.

The day a white backup running back at Rutgers becomes a 'stud' in the NFL is teh day I admit I know nothing about football.

I don't understand the hype around this guy. If the Rams were lighting it up every week I could understand but Steven Jackson was a mess behind that line and Leonard will be even worse.

LMAO :moneybag: I like Leonard, and he is good. But to think he will come i and excel where Steven Jackson wasn't is just plain fandom taking over.He was demoted at Rutgers AFTER they were pimping him as a Heisman candidate! Ray Rice took over and you could clearly see the difference. As much as I like Leonards heart and ability, he's no stud. And that's doubly true behind a patchwork OL.

Can someone take this bleeding hearted liberal discussion to the FFA forum? What part about "no pissing in the shark pool" do you not GET?

Can someone offer some insight on BL in regards to FOOTBALL? What ever happened to just FOOTBALL? What do we have to have drama all of a sudden in FOOTBALL?

dude, who cares what color the man's skin color is? No matter how much progress is made in improving racial equality, there will always be a part of the population that blames racial intolerance for their group's shortcomings ... it's much easier to blame others than to actually work hard and succeed.

I've watched every game this season, and he's not ready for the speed of the NFL, especially as a feature back. He'll make LJ and the "3 yards and a could of dust" KC offense look dynamic .

can you elaborate a little on what you've seen?Is he not hitting holes? Poor descision making? How much has he been involved in the offense through 3 weeks? Is he on special teams?

Leonard's 4 carries for 21 yards against TB were his first carries of the season. So how exactly do you come to your conclusion?

I'm not so sure that St. Louis is going to get much going offensively for a while. I'd be leery about staring this kid with too much excitement. I'm not buying that this kid can do what SJax could not.

He was not the backup running back, he was the starting fullback. Schiano obviously wanted to get Leonard and Ray Rice on the field at the same time. Leonard is skilled at many things, so having him block for Rice is by no means a demotion. You are also ignoring how good Ray Rice actually is. If you could have 2 All American caliber players on the field at the same time, wouldn't you do it?

You don't need to admit that you know nothing about football. The fact that you called him the "backup" running back at Rutgers proves it.

:goodposting:
:P :lmao: Ya, this guy is obviously gonna average 5.25 yards per carry. He's been doing it his entire NFL career.

I'm not watching today's game... but his stat-line against the Browns looks deplorable. I realize the Rams O-line isn't the best... but c'mon.
