**Browns at Eagles** (-8.5 42.5) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

Just curious....if the score were 23-9 right now, how would everyone feel? Cause that's what it should be without a bizarre FG blocked and returned.

Score is closer then it should be for sure, but the negativism from Eagles fans is a bit annoying right now TBH
It sucks that this game hasn't been put away, but Browns defense hasn't been their real problem.

It still would suck. We should have easily scored 30 on this team.

And now in FG range but will just kill clock.....IE: it could easily have been 30

Eagles still look like an average team to my eyes. Way under achieving with all that offensive talent.

Washington looks like the class of the NFC East this season. Yes it’s early. But that’s what the first 5 weeks have shown me.

Not saying I'm not mildly disappointed Philly didn't blow them out on the scoreboard. I'm saying the negativism is a bit extreme all things considered.

Yup. And letting Watson go 11/11 in the 2nd Half.

The D is doing its job? Nah. CLE is dogmeat. Ok to give up 9 in garbage time when you’re leading by 21. But letting this Offense hang around? Fuhgettaboutit.

I mean a W is a W but this do s not instill any confidence.
Guess I have to disagree. Score was tighter then any of us would have liked but the Browns TD was a fluke. Cleveland offense is terrible, but their defense isn't. Eagles controlled the game. Even when Watson completed 10 or whatever in a row it looked like they were working hard for those yards, and ultimately settled for FGs

My Sat Night prediction is the Browns pull off the upset this weekend. Philly secondary has been Swiss cheese for the most part

Cleveland 22...Philly 21
At the least I like the Browns to cover
Philly 20
Cleve 16

Was there for the taking - Cleveland, but they have no identity on offense and it killed them the entire game
They are not a power running team
They are not a finesse passing team
They are not a down field passing team
They don't do a lot right on offense

Browns are ****ed.

things are about to get really ugly.

weird part is, Watson actually looked a lot better today.

Eagles 20...Cleveland 16

-Felt like the Browns could have and should have won this football game. The FG block and subsequent return for a TD sort of mask the reality of just how bad this offense is performing
Why didn't the Browns draft or bring in some serious upgrades at RB with Chubb likely coming back very slowly and possibly at less than what he was previously? You gotta move forward and they did not.

-Did Siriani really pick a fight with fans in the stands or lip off to them while the game was still playing out? What was that all about and how come the Eagles look so average even in victory?

Objectives last offseason all centered around Watson. If this team was going to win, then it'd be him returning to his former self. If he didn't, then this team would crash and burn...as we're witnessing right now.

That doesn't compute
You make it sound like A or B and that was that
Whether it was Watson or another QB or you and I, how would upgrading the RBs outside of Chubb possibly a bad idea in the off season?
Air Raid or Ground n Pound, you need playmakers at RB and they seem below average at best. They needed a fresh new pair of legs in their RB stable
I don't see that guy right now, maybe they should have made a trade already

They're not the only team lacking much punch at RB, I put the blame on the Front Office and HC for all these things

Eagles QB is pretty average. Not terrible, just average.

If you're expecting me to defend this group's decision making then you're going to be disappointed  One of the outcomes to using so many assets on one player is the need to cut corners elsewhere. Strategically the Browns chose RB to be one of those once father time caught up with Kareem Hunt. The few assets available have been used at WR, OL, pass rush, coverage, and re-signing their own. Bolster the pass, make passing difficult for the opposition, and build culture.

A Chubb / Ford combo at RB should have been enough to support that once getting to the meat of this schedule. Not unreasonable to expect this team to be at worst 3-3 right now with competent QB play and the Jags, Giants, and Raiders on the early season schedule. If the QB play is so incompetent the record is worse than a RB wasn't going to be the difference.

And now here we are.
