Browns Offense - Best Ever? (1 Viewer)

I was wondering but haven't looked it up if the Browns might set a record or come close to having the biggest improvement in 1 year. I know the '99 Rams had to be up there and probably one of the Falcons or Oilers Run ans Shoot Teams.

I know the Browns were 32nd in almost every category last year and they're on pace to finish in the top 5. I also know it's still early, but the Schedule's favorable overall.

Does anyone know the actual record for biggest improvement?

Pretty hard to beat the jump the Saints made on offense from 2005 to 2006.

Good jump, but still can't touch the Rams from 98 to 99http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/nor2005.htm

Meanwhile, the Rams made the deal for Faulk without trying to work out the contract problems first, and Faulk announced immediately that he would be a holdout until the contract matter was settled.

That can probably be worked out. The Rams’ future will be more affected by the boneheaded pick head coach **** Vermeil then made with his first-round selection, taking WR Torry Holt when CB-WR Champ Bailey was still available.

Holt is an excellent receiver, but Bailey was widely considered the best athlete in the draft, with many comparing him to Deion Sanders. Bailey is the shut-down cover man every team covets these days. As such, he will have a much larger impact in the NFL than Holt ever will.

Like Ditka, Vermeil was a bad hire. Unlike Ditka, Vermeil had once been a very good coach, though he, too, was out of touch with the modern game. The Rams gave him a lucrative five-year contract, and they’ve been unwilling to eat what remains of it. But, with this decision, Vermeil has doomed the Rams to mediocrity beyond the duration for which he will coach them. That’s true of the other teams, too. These draft decisions will cast a very long shadow for the Saints, Colts and Rams.

As of right now, the Rams change wasn't as big as the Browns. The Saints are definitley #1 all-time though. I can't believe I missed that.

All of these examples prove the importance of good QB play and a very good Play Caller on Offense.

:loco: Rams went from 285 points to 526.

Browns are on pace to go from 238 to 443.

The 1999 Rams had one of the best offenses in history. The 2007 Browns have one of the best offenses in 2007.

No comparison.
