Browser add-on to prevent videos auto playing? (1 Viewer)

Is there an add-on for Google Chrome that keeps videos from automatically playing when you visit a web page?

I come across this a lot on CNN, CBS sports, etc. So annoying.

I don't know if this is the best way, but I use a combination of Flashcontrol and Disable HTML5 Autoplay.

I gave up on CBS sports a while back, though.  Between shoving boomer & carton autoplay videos onto everything possible and then crying if you use an ad blocker, I had enough of them.

If you find one, and can also find a way around my work IT not allowing any add-ons, please let me know.

I recently switched to Windows 10 for both home and work.  I tried "Settings>Devices" and turned off Autoplay for all media and devices.  Seems to at least kill the volume which was my major concern. Don't know how many times I'd have music playing, open a new website and have some annoying video start blaring at twice the music volume.
