Bryce Brown anything to see here? (7 Viewers)

In Reid's defense, the last couple of goal line passes were because there were 30 seconds left in the half and philly had no TO's left. But all in all, weird play calling (the shovel pass for example) and the fact Brown just doesn't look that good to me are contributing to his poor performance tonight.

If I remember correctly, in Brown's first two games PHI was utilizing the draw play a bunch. I distinctly remember thinking to myself this dude would be in trouble if he played a team who could A. get penetration and or B. actually tackle. I'm not sure if that's happening as well but I'd really appreciate it if my flex exceeded 10 points.

Watching these formations the Eagles try to run the ball from is like watching the Lions run the ball. Its painful to watch and does no favors to the RB.

dude they were inside the 10 for quite a few plays with under a minute left in the half. passing is super standard there. i was quite surprised they ran on 2nd and 3rd down to get the first down at the 2. unfortunately, a poor snap pushed them out of running range given the time scenario.

brown has 11 carries for 22 yards. you cant really fault reid for his balance here.

One thing I've noticed: on a lot of plays, Foles seem to be looking to set Brown up with screens, but the Bengals have sniffed it out and covered him pretty tightly, forcing Foles to go elsewhere.

ETA: Just as I was typing this, they threw one to Lewis and Burfict blew it up for a big loss.

I get the feeling Bryce is about to break fumble one.
Fixed it for you.The worst part is that I'm facing the Bengals D. Only thing I can hope for is that, since he never got the ball cleanly, it gets charged to Foles and I at least salvage 2 pts. But it's still little consolation.

Well, this at least settles one thing for me. If I manage to make the championship, no way I start him vs the Redskins.

has to be the 1st time a guy puts up back to back 25+ FP (standard scoring)

and then back to back 0's

it's almost as if the fantasy gods are trolling

the bengals kno when they're running

PHI has been protecting foles like the secret service then as soon as it's a run play, 77 men in the backfield as soon as it's handed off

Aaron Rodgers for MVP? Are you ####### kidding me? The stupidity on this Network is mind bottling.

The decision to bench Brown wasn't an obvious or easy one. But....just didn't feel right. Glad to dodge that bullet. Allows me to potentially flex in Dez who should do better than Brown's 4 points.

I need to decide whether I can trust Brown enough to start him over either Reggie Bush or Danario Alexander. I'm terrified of leaving him in my lineup tonight and seeing 14 carries for 32 yards to be honest. His first two games were hard to ignore, I didn't expect similar in Tampa but figured he might get me 70 and a td. Struggling with this lineup decision more than any other this year.
Jeez, I really ought to listen to myself sometimes

What did I say...Reid will run the ball like he did for two games then slowly revert back to that pass happy inconsistent running play calling and thats what happened...last 2 games they have shyed away from the run game badl.

I actually thought they would use him to protect foles but nope, Reid is going to Reid.

Bench the guy from now on if you happen to still be in it

lol at blaming the play calling. brown was ineffective despite a fairly heavy workload in the first half. the 2nd half the eagles barely had the ball due to an int, a brown fumble and a lol kickoff fumble along with a completely idiotic penalty. he had plenty of workload.

I loved the Mccoy was losing his job posts, the kid has earned some more touches but this is still Mccoy's backfield. When both are healthy I expect Mccoy to get 70 percent or more of the touches, if the kid continues to fumble that number will go up.

Anybody else think he's a good dynasty stash still?
Lots of bad in here, but this stuck out.Fantasy owners too often get way too excited about young guys then over correct and reverse course in the other direction when they have a couple of bad games.Bryce Brown is a tremendous talent, but he has A LOT to work on to be a NFL running back. He barely played at all in college, quit one team, and may or may not have been asked to leave another, but he was also the #1 high school recruit in his class for a reason. He has enormous upside, but there are going to be plenty of headaches along the way. Two more games like that and I will be buying him everywhere this offseason.

espn changed the fumble to foles... hope that stands... technically i think that is the right call even though it looksed to be a good handoff.. brown never had the ball.

brown probably would have had a TD late 1st half.... eagles had 1st and goal ont he 1 with 50 seconds left... and their f-ing center does a half snap which resulted in a 5 yard penalty and a bunch of throws... man I was up 3 to -1 at half time (my opp had dalton... ended up down 12 to 5)

More importantly, so has NFL.com, which means it's official (Yahoo adjusted as well). I think that's kind of a dumb rule, but if the QB and RB fumble the exchange it always goes to the QB, since he was the last one with possession. I don't know why you can't just make a judgment call as to who was responsible.

I agree. Dumb rule. Luckily, not many people are using Foles at theis point. Although Brown underperfomed, that 3-point swing (from Brown being credited with the fumble/-6 yards loss on the run to Foles being credited with the fumble) could potentially decide some close matchups.

Yeah, I dont understand that either. Seems easy enough for a judgement call. More black and white than some of the other calls the NFL makes. There is no doubt that was Brown's fault.

Yes, it might. Then again, in my matchup, where my opponent had the Cinci D and still has Peterson, Spiller, DeThomas and Brady coming up, it's not likely to.

True, but ya never know

MFL switched the fumble to foles now :(

LOL, 3 weeks ago people were saying this kid should of been an NFL 1st round pick, I love the over reaction of last season nobodies.

I got a short bench, so I have to choose wisely.

Damn, that is silly.

Brown was the 13th best fantasy option On Thursday Night.

A list of those that outscored him:

Andy Dalton

BJGE

A J Green

Jermaine Gresham

Josh Brown

Nick Foles

Jason Avant

Riley Cooper

Jeremy Maclin

Alex Henery

CIN Bengals Defense

PHI Eagles Defense

I'm not watching the game, why can't Brown get anything going here?
Because Reid insists on running him on stretch plays instead of up the middle. You'd think after being unsuccessful time and time and time and time again vs. Tampa with them, he'd try something else.Guess again.
Mentioned that earlier in this thread. As Vince Lombardi would say: What the hell is going on out there?
