Red Sox placed RHP Daisuke Matsuzaka on the 15-day disabled list due to arm fatigue.

The Providence Journal reports that Matsuzaka will be examined on Friday in Boston, and hopefully two weeks off will help him recover from what appears to be fallout from his participation in the World Baseball Classic. Apr. 15 - 2:35 pm et...rotoworld

Will Buchholz get called up? or will they roll with Masterson?

Buchholz has a bad hammie. There saying Masterson takes his spot but I think they might bring up Bowden.

Masterson looked excellent in relief vs. the A's last night - 4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K

I'm guessing he'll be getting the start (on Patriot's Day).

I get bonehead move of the season.

After Soria walked the bases loaded and gave up a run last game, I decided to pick up Farnsworth who struck out the side.

TO make room, I decided to drop Masterson.

To top it off, Farmsworth's line today: .1 IP, 3 R, 2 H, 1 BB and he blew the save and the game

 :wall: ;) :wall: :lmao: :wall: :lmao: :wall: :wall:

:bag: needed saves and he looked like the choice if Soria continued his decline.

Not to beat a dead horse but...have you watched Fransworth pitch any of the last several years?

Sure. But when I saw him strike out the heart of the Cle BO Tue, then Soria come in and load the bases, I decided to give it a shot. I make lots of moves and that one seemed logical. I remember the days when Farnie was one of the best setup men in the game and thought maybe he was back. So I'll drop him. A very bad move, but I was just trying to pick up a few cheap saves.

Decline? What decline are you talking about? Soria's numbers this year are excellent...He's 4-4 in saves this year with 7 K in 4 IP.

Soria is one of the 4-5 closing pitchers who aren't being replaced unless they get injured. Period. That was definitely a bonehead move on your part.

Seriously, Soria might be one of the best relievers I've ever seen. His stuff is sick.

Look, I gave up the 30th guy on my roster to take a stab at some saves. Its not like I traded away Soria, I just looked at his poor ST and saw his last three appearances. Here's the play by play for two of them:

J. Soria relieved R. Mahay

- G. Sizemore singled to right, T. Crowe to third, A. Cabrera to second

- S. Choo singled to right, T. Crowe scored, A. Cabrera to third, G. Sizemore to second

- A. Cabrera scored, G. Sizemore to third, S. Choo to second on wild pitch

- V. Martinez struck out swinging

- T. Hafner grounded out to pitcher

- J. Peralta struck out looking

- J. Soria relieved R. Mahay

- C. Quentin doubled to deep right center

- J. Thome grounded out to shortstop, C. Quentin to third

- J. Dye grounded out to shortstop, C. Quentin scored

- P. Konerko walked

- B. Lillibridge ran for P. Konerko

- A. Ramirez safe at first on third baseman A. Gordon's fielding error, B. Lillibridge to second

- W. Betemit hit for B. Anderson

- W. Betemit struck out swinging

Edit to add, I could not find the play by plays, but before retiring the side in his final ST appearance, "had given up five earned runs and eight hits and a walk in just 1 2/3 innings. "

Oh, stats don't count now? You do understand that fantasy sports are based on stats, right?I've actually watched him pitch 3 of the 4 games this year. He is a helluva pitcher, but he is really developing a problem of needing to settle in while on the mound (as clearly evidenced in 2 of his last 3 starts and ST). If he stop being so shaky (half the time) to the first 3-4 batters he will be fine. If it continues, he will probably be moved to SP, where effing up to the first few batters is not so important.

 stop youre killin me
I have mlb network and watched him in 3 of his four games. Hilarious.
NEWSFLASH: Hes pitched in 129 games in his career.
 stop youre killin meAre you serious? Do you really think decisions are made for RPs based on their career, rather than what they do lately? New to baseball?
