Refs botched that pretty bad. The initial call, the refusal to review, and the penalty on the challenge flag were all wrong.

Yeah, good thing they called Illegal Contact and not Pass Interference seeing one is applied to any offensive player and the other only receivers.

It wasn't illegal contact either. Ball was in the air. Illegal contact can only be called while the QB is in the pocket and has the ball. If the ball is in the air, there's no illegal contact rule.

I posted it already as to why it is. No need to do it again. It's a clear penalty, get over it.

You can make up all the rules you want, but "Illegal Contact" is specifically defined.
