Busta missed his true calling as a hype man. I couldn't quote a single 16 he spit since his solo career started. Still, I don't think I could name 99 rappers I definitively liked better than him.

cmon. even people who listen to very little hiphop can quote his verse in scenario.

He has a couple platinum and gold albums. I'd say he did alright.

ill check him out. im not sure if they play that stuff up in the clubs. i live in Jersey. But Detroit's hip hop scene is pretty serious right now.

I could go on. There are two guys here in Birmingham that would absolutely kill him in a battle. He is horrible.

I have never like Busta's style but your list is a complete joke. His rhymes are extremely good. No he hasn't had any mainstream success.It's one thing to dislike him, it's another to deny the man's talent.

Dude, you can't honestly think he's better than some of the guys you have crossed out. I threw a lot of guys on there that I don't like, but it's just because I honestly think his body of work is total garbage. JMO.What, in your opinion, is the best thing he has ever done as a solo artist? Actually, forget it, you struck through the Pharcyde. Our tastes are obviously pretty much opposite.

Love the Pharcyde, but dislike Busta Rhymes. Still think he's more talented then them. Guy is good, just doesn't have a flow that I personally like. I like Redman 100 X's better and I crossed him off. If we're talking rhymes, flow, and stage presence...

He's in no one's top 5, but he's far from a one-hit-wonder.Where do you rank him in the Best Rapper of All Time list?

I don't think he's in the Top 25 although he has quite a catalog. I'd probably put him #40-50. His only solo LP I liked was The Coming but he did have some hits here and there. His best work was with Leaders Of The New School.

I agree.I think why some people might not like Busta is because how some of his songs are somewhat funny/silly and are more party songs. Not every good rap song has to be about how hard you are or how many guns you have.

Sholditch quoted "Dangerous".....that was actually a pretty big song when it came out. I'm not saying it's an absolute classic, but it's definitely a decent song.
