One of the chief complaint sin one of my league sis that there is never enough talent in the free agent pool when teams run into the inevitable injuries that occur in the NFL season. With 12 teams, 14 man starting lineups and 10 bench players (typically used ot cover bye week players) you can see where there would be a significant downgrade to what is left in the free agent pool. So it got me to thinking...why not have a limitted bench (one or two to allow for handcuffs) and then for by weeks allow you to carry over points from the previous week when you player hits bye week (the owner would have to declare the current week before kickoff that th eplayers points should be carried over). Then if an owner doesn't think it would be to their advantage, they could use a waiver to pick up a player to cover the bye (but not if they had declared carryover).
Good idea? Bad idea? Tweak? Just thinking of ways to help with making the league better.
