Yes, that one. Him playing through it shows he's tough, but it's one of those injuries than can get worse over time.

If Berry isn't available, the Browns don't want Dez, and we didn't trade up I think there's a very, very good chance we're trading down. Whether it's to somebody for Spiller, Dez, or Clausen I don't know but I could see several teams moving up for any of those guys.

NFL.com mock has Browns taking Spiller at #7.

For FF purposes i have questions about Spiller, but for the real world NFL he is going to be a great weapon.Even Reggie Bush who is hated in FF circles, and somewhat rightfully so, is a very valuable weapon. GM Jerry Reese likes to draft to fill holes, so if LB Rolando McClain is available, he is likely the pick. Without Antonio Pierce, the defense needs not only a player to fill the position at MLB, but the role of a leader, and McClain would be a great fit for both. LB Sean Weatherspoon is rising up boards could be the choice for the same, as well. However, in this scenario, Spiller falls and is too much value to pass up. The running game hurt them last year and their kick return average was among the worst in the league. Spiller is getting far too little love in mocks and from draft pundits. While he may lack ideal size, the kid is special. There are home run hitters, and then there is Spiller. He had 21 touchdowns over 50 yards and 9 of those were over 80 yards. Another strong consideration here would be the defensive line. There are reports they’d like to move Osi Umenyiora and add one of the top DE prospects. The addition of S Antrel Rolle as the highest paid safety in the history of the NFL means they definitely are no longer looking a safety here.

The Broncos also had an abundance of RBs last year before they took Moreno. In the NFL if you have a lot of something, it's usually a sign that you don't have very much of that thing.

They're about the same. McFadden was versatile, but Spiller is a dynamic pass receiving option and dynamic return man, punts and kicks. Spiller's the best all-purpose back to come out since Reggie Bush. Bush has a Super Bowl ring. One of the reasons they did win was because of his versatility. I said all along that even when he wasn't making plays, teams were focusing in on him. That's what Spiller will do.

I have said all along that Spiller will do best in a RBBC and compared a lot like McFadden....glad to see Mel thinks the same way.

Chan Gailey will find ways to best use Spiller. I know many are very high on Mathews, and rightly so, but Spiller could put up huge numbers in Gailey's offense

That was the best stuff I've ever seen from Gruden. I know some folks like him in the booth, but this stuff was coaching, not just being an entertainer.

I'm not sure what to think of this fantasy wise. I still think you have to take Mathews in SD and Bryant in DAL ahead of him. But BUF is a better landing spot than SF or NYG, at least for immediate value.

Bills GM Buddy Nix compared C.J. Spiller to Reggie Bush and Percy Harvin as a dynamic hybrid player "that can hurt you in a lot of ways."

In other words, he's not going to be thrown into the starting lineup as an early-down between-the-tackles runner as a rookie. Instead, he'll often be split out wide and used on stretch plays, misdirections and pitches. Nix also confirmed that Spiller will be "in the mix" for return duties with Leodis McKelvin and Roscoe Parrish.

I'm not seeing it. No QB, Fred Jackson, and more importantly, no OL. Also, I would have liked to see him play in better weather, maybe in a dome. If I'm sitting at 1.02 I'm upset if I don't need a WR. Mathews will probably go 1.01 in most non-ppr leagues and in some PPR leagues as well.

Buffalo could easily land Clausen or McCoy in a few hours... the OL will be problematic but Spiller in space is incredibly dangerous, he will hopefully have opps.

If the Bills walk out of this draft with Clausen and Spiller.....it would be a huge success. They will get completely brutalized b/c of a lack of OL and the defenses in that division(i'm expecting Miami to get Kindle in the 2nd)...but it would be a step forward.

Spiller will return kicks in buffalo as well..which helps out the team.
