I was shocked to see that Calhoun didn't get any work in the first pre-season game. Is he hurt? Is he in the coaches dog house? There was an article this past week in the Detroit Free Press about Pinner getting cut in lieu of Calhoun. If that's true, then why didn't we see him in the first exhibition game?

I think that Pinner is fighting for a roster spot and I've heard rumors that he may even get traded. Perhaps they were seeing what he could do and showcasing him a little bit. I have no doubt that Calhoun will make the team and work his way into the lineup.

I agree that it was probably a showcase for Pinner, but it seems odd that you wouldn't let a rookie see any time in his first preseason game.
