just noticed this thread. I guess it's better I didn't spoil the mystery sooner anyway. I worked on an event in Lincoln Center 2 years ago called "Semi-Permanent". They hold them all around the world and it's geared towards graphic artists. There were some cool presenters, among them the guy that works with Tool and people that worked on Sin City. Some were very flaky and out there, some just sucked, but this guy Charlie White was the most bizarre presenter I have ever heard.

The guy was so all over the map. He couldn't even hold a thought long enough before he was onto another topic. His pictures take months to set up, he only takes about 6 pictures a year. And he spoke about the Joshua series in total seriousness. His description about what was taking place in each shot was so deep, without a hint of humor. Me and my co-worker just kept looking at each other, shaking our heads saying WTF?
