I know it's only 50+ ABs but :)

Is there a particular reason for this exercise or a past post i should be reading first?
Past post.Long running debate from last year. Each side only brings it up when their horse is in the lead
Except Cano has 2 years of better stats over Weeks. Weeks has 2 weeks better stats than Cano this yr.
The question was, which player is better, which would you rather have. Going back to August of last year (Weeks first healthy action since his rookie year), Weeks is clearly the better 2nd baseman/baseball player/hitter/fielder.

Yes he is

I like 4's persistence. It has a banging your head against a stone wall to knock it down type of charm to it...but he's persistent.

I can't speak to defense as I have not see enough of Weeks playing defense, but Cano is a better hitter. cano also is a good defender, lightning quick on turns and has a good arm. Weeks SB's last year make them equal overall offensive players last year, but I think Cano will be a better offensive player as his 2nd half showed.I am not really sure how you can say Weeks is better, unless you are a homer.

Cano being pushed down to the bottom part of the order has made things worse. If\When he moves back up things should improve.

why was the old thread not good enough? you know how this thing ends _4_, you're like Charlie Brown kicking the football
I am absolutely going by how it "ended" last year....check the stats from August 2007 - today. Homer? Abso####inlutely.

Updated through the end of May.

While neither player is playing to expectations, Cano is embarrassingly bad with an OBP of .269.

This old gag again?

Remember we were supposed to judge weeks based on August 07 to now?

I hereby set the measuring bar for the last 28 games over the month of May as long as we can do these occasional adjustments at random whimsy.

Cano

27 hits

.307 avg

.340 OB

.455 slugging

12 RBI

13 Runs

5 strikeouts

Weeks

21 hits

.219 Avg

.333 OB

.365 Slugging

10 Rbi

15 runs

21 strikeouts

Weeks will soon be a bench player.

You are not real bright are you? This thread is comparing their 2008 seasons. That little dot at the end of the last sentence is a period. If you would like to start a thread comparing May or August or any other time period feel free to do so.

Is this an optical illusion?

Why would I start a new thread, so you can tank out again once Cano raises his digits past your Mendoza line lovin second sacker? Anyway, these last two have been high comedy enough, I swear you're just doing it to sharpen your debating skills by willfully waging an argument you can't win.
