CBS down? (1 Viewer)

Yep.

The fantasy site you are attempting to load is temporarily unavailable. We are actively working to restore your access to the site. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again later.

That site sucks. And you have to pay for it. I don't understand why people use it. It takes them until about 10am tuesday to update standings and unlock rosters

no it doesnt. standings and stats are updated 2 am tuesday morning. i love the site.
You must really love it right about now
This is my 8th year using it, and this is only about the 2nd or 3rd time I remember this happening. First time in the playoffs too. Glad I'm on a BYE.

Got halfway into our site and it crashed again. People are going to flip. They screwed up huge like this before. Gave everyone a big discount or something. Beats me, I moved all of my leagues away from them years ago. This 1 is still on there for some reason.

I ####### hate CBS. If you're going to be that over-priced, you should make it a point to function efficiently.

anyone have a link/email I can request a refund? this is poor for a paid fantasy website and something new seems to happen every year :scared:

I can't even access the webpage to send an e-mail. After googling for a phone #, I found this:

For questions regarding CBSSports.com Shop merchandise or orders you have placed contact 1-877-342-4911.

There is probably a better contact # (props to anyone who can find it and post it) and I'm not encouraging anyone to do anything they don't feel is right in their hearts - their angry, angry hearts........

WOW I actually lost my game this week because of the site being down (couldn't make a lineup change I wanted to make)...

Luckily I squeaked in to the playoffs but if I needed the win I would have been pissed.

I wonder how many team's year was decided because they couldn't log on on gameday till after the early games?

CBS is a POS....

I lost my playoff game because of the CBS failure - went to put Santana Moss in the lineup when he was declared active and could not make the change. Lost by 4 on the Ravens final TD last night.

I wrote CBS on Sunday and received a reply late last night with an apology and an offer for a $50 credit for league fees next season. I am pursuing more.

Just curious. Don't people have an email address or a phone number for their commissioner? It seems like if the site is down just send or call him with your lineup change. Using the excuse that you lost because the CBS site was down is kind of lame when there are other ways to get your lineup in.

Computers are not fool-proof and every league should have a backup plan in place.

Saturday night, I swapped Mike Thomas in for Deon Branch due to the weather predictions in CHI.

After church on Sunday I had a change of heart to put Branch back in the lineup when I heard Thomas was drawing Asomugha from Oakland. Got home and couldn't access the site. Tried several times. I then sent an e-mail to the commish - his comment was it wasn't fair for me to make lineup changes when not everyone could make lineup changes. As it turned out, I woudl have lost anyway. However, I would have been mighty pissed at both the commish and CBS had I lost because of it.

This damn glitch is still burning me; because I could not add/drop on Sunday, I had to make an extra add/drop tonight and fell back in line. Lost out on a key WR with a good matchup.

CBS roof caved in. Sudden snow storm hit their headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Its strange how these storms always happen early September and December.

It's the owners fault, right?Do you have a backup plan when your car won't start? Or the police don't come when you make a phone call? I can understand you not wanting to let owners off the hook completely but are you also the type that tips 15-20% anyways when you get poor service at a restaurant? You also need to hold others accountable not just yourself.

It's the owners fault, right? Not directly but they have an opportunity to correct the problem.

Do you have a backup plan when your car won't start?

Yes, I get a ride from somebody else, don't go where I'm going, or get the car fixed.

Or the police don't come when you make a phone call?

I don't know. Never had to call the police. I guess the backup plan would be to call them again.

I can understand you not wanting to let owners off the hook completely but are you also the type that tips 15-20% anyways when you get poor service at a restaurant?

No I'm not that type. I never really understood why tipping is a percentage anyway. Why should I have to tip more for a $20 steak than an $8 burger when the waiter/waitress is doing basically the same thing?

You also need to hold others accountable not just yourself.

I agree with that. But to hold CBS entirely accountable and not yourself is wrong. It's also wrong for a commissioner to reject a lineup change done before the game through email because "not everyone could make lineup changes". If the other owners had access to a phone or email then they could make lineup changes as well.
