Boot to the Head! said:Seriously?TV commercials <> scripted endzone and sideline celebrations.FreeBaGeL said:Indeed. CJ is in too many television commercials and Indy just won't put up with that.Boot to the Head! said:Not sure if Ind wants someone that craves the spotlight like CJ on their team though.
They did with Hall(?) and GonzalezEither way, Indy will need to address their receivers if Harrison's injury is as serious as some media is reporting it to be.
Colts fan here jonhnson is a very good receiver. I would not like him playing for the colts. yuck!! This was started in the colts forum okay from a fan..
Is that what you were trying to say, because I wasn't entirely sure.Colts fan here. Johnson is a very good receiver, but I would not like to see him playing for the Colts. I don't like him. He's yucky!! This whole thing was started in a Colts messageboard forum, okay? This is from a fan and has no validity, whatsoever. So, please, let's stop this nonsense.
When has that dude ever kept his mouth shut? Hell of a player and He doesn't get the Sportscenter facetime that 85 does, but he comes off like much more of a whiny crybaby.Boot to the Head! said:someone that plays hard AND keeps their mouth shut, like Housh?
Something's going on there in Cinci with Johnson. He's got 44 catches for 3 TDs. Houshmanzadeh has 58 catches for 9 TDs. So right now, CJ isnt even playing like the best WR on his own team. And I wonder with each additional TD that Housh catches, just how happy Ocho really is about it. He loves to celebrate his own scores. How much does he celebrate when the other guys score?? Thats the question I have. Because those other TDs are just as important to the team as his own.
Bingo, I agree. Not that Chad has any problem with Housh.Something's going on there in Cinci with Johnson. He's got 44 catches for 3 TDs. Houshmanzadeh has 58 catches for 9 TDs. Pretty much every single one. Every time Housh scores Johnson is celbrating with him in the endzone. If Johnson is such a horrid teammate why did Housh leave the game to go the hospital with him??Something's going on there in Cinci with Johnson. He's got 44 catches for 3 TDs. CJ isn't an axe murderer, just a jerk IMO who puts himself above the team - others obviously think he's a great teammate and that his need for the spotlight and need to provide bulletin board material to the Bengals opponents each week is somehow good for the Bengals. As posted earlier, here's why I think Chad's negatives subtract a fair amount from his obvious football skills:Pretty much every single one. we discussed all of those points already. I see your points, but we just have to agree to disagree.Boot to the Head! said:CJ isn't an axe murderer, just a jerk IMO who puts himself above the team - others obviously think he's a great teammate and that his need for the spotlight and need to provide bulletin board material to the Bengals opponents each week is somehow good for the Bengals. As posted earlier, here's why I think Chad's negatives subtract a fair amount from his obvious football skills:thayman said:Pretty much every single one. Human nature being what it is, do you think the majority of CJ's teammates enjoy seeing all the attention on Sportscenter etc... focussed on CJ's next TD antics plan, or would they rather see the rest of the team get featured for what they actually do on the field?
Do you think, subconsciously, the team blocks as hard for CJ as they do for someone that plays hard AND keeps their mouth shut, like Housh?
Do you think it was CJ's idea to shut down his skits, or was it maybe on a suggestion from the coach or ownership or his teammates or his agent?
If it makes sense to shut down the attention mongering when Cinn is not playing well, then why does it make sense to do the antics when Cinn is playing well? How does that make things better?
When the team is winning, would they maybe do even better if CJ took the Harrison/Wayne/Housh etc... approach and really put the team 1st and became 1 of 60 instead of thinking of himself first?
Sorry, I thought I was replying to someone else.Either way, agreeing to disagree is the correct solution - maybe over the next few years Chad's personality will prove to be more the way you think it is, or the way I suspect it is - we'll have to wait and see how it plays out.we discussed all of those points already.
