Chad Johnson wants a trade---Why? (1 Viewer)

While they're both elite talents, I'd also take Boldin over CJ. Imo you won't go wrong taking either one but to call anybody an idiot for liking one over the other is just foolish. Wow, we've really hijacked this thread.
Agreed. They are both elite receivers, and have their relative strengths and weaknesses. As an Eagles fan, I would do somersaults if we somehow got a hold of either one.

LOL, don't send the resume off to any team for any vacant GM spots.
Laugh if you will but if I am building a team, CJ is the last guy I want on it. He is simply a POS. Anyone who intentionally gets his team a 15 yard penalty so he can draw attention to himself is not worth a roster spot. Boldin is younger and much more effective after the catch than CJ is. I don't think I have ever seen him fight for a TD. I see him making the catch and stepping out of bounds. I am sorry but you are WRONG!
Probaly the stupidest post ever. Try actually watching games sometime.
I do, CJ is soft. If he had half the heart of Boldin he might be as good as he thinks he is.
:lmao: :fishing:CJ has skill, trying to make it sound he's some #2 with illusions of grandeur and isn't worth the trouble is incredibly misleading.
The funny part is all of the people claiming he is jealous that Housh is getting balls thrown his way...after all they are/have been best friends and teammates since their college days. More and more I see the Shark Pool turning into a jealous, biased run-down version of its former self.

So people never get jealous of their friends? Riiiight. I'm not saying he is or isn't. That is a pretty weak defense though.

Ok, all things being equal; which is more likely...a) Chad wants to get PAID and has a money hungry agentb) Chad is jealous of his long-time friend that helps him practice and even appears in several of his TD skitsc) Cincy is a train-wreck after they missed their one year window to make some noise in the playoffs and Chad wants to win

The real question is: Does CJ appear in Housh's TD skits? :lmao:

I don't recall him appearing in any, but then again, not many people get excited over 3 yard slants for TDs! :fishing:

Just saw the Total Access feature and ;) The guy tried to change the subject how many times? And even then he wouldn't criticize any of his teammates and finally admitted to needing a change of scenery. I hardly think it's shocking that he and Marvin Lewis don't have a good relationship. Not really seeing the issue here. At no point did he refuse to play for Cincy or say as much; unless I missed a 2nd part of the show when he makes those comments. I think the Bengals will trade him, particularly now that they've allegedly gotten TJ signed long-term.

And it's been that way (trainwreck) for a long time. It's more complex than just a trainwreck organization, but that's the backbone. He's obviously pissed about the way he's been treated as well, but it's mostly about the Bengals organization.I'll be shocked if Chad Johnson is traded. No matter how stubborn he thinks he is, Mike Brown is much more stubborn. And he's old school as well. He knows there's no reason to trade a great player in his prime for pennies on the dollar just because that's how it's done in the NFL these days. And that's without even getting into the salary cap repercussions of a trade. Knowing the parties involved and the factors involved, I think a Chad Johnson trade has about a 1% chance of happening this off-season regardless of Housh's contract.

Just a quick question regarding this comment. What exactly is the Shark Pool jealous of?? I'm not trying to poke the bear...I am seriously wondering what this is supposed to mean. :goodposting:

I hardly think it's shocking that he and Marvin Lewis don't have a good relationship.
But why not? This is what's confusing to me. Lewis strikes me as a player friendly coach and one that would seemingly be ideal for a loose cannon yet supremely talented player like CJ. Why the trouble? The question that needs to be asked by Philly fans is if he can't get along with a coach like Lewis and a terrifically accurate and supportive QB in Palmer, what would happen here? If Reid and McNabb couldn't handle TO, what leads you to think that it would turn out any differently with CJ? CJ to Philly=

I would think some of the acrimony stems from the incident where Chad popped Lewis and took a swing at another coach in the 2006 Wild Card game.

We've been down this road before. The "TO" situation was 100% fine until the Eagles made a horrible miscalculation and failed to guarantee his 2nd year bonus and extend him, despite his clearly deserving to be paid. The fact the Birds were willing to make Randy Moss the highest paid receiver in the NFL tells me THEY aren't worried about handling a hard-to-manage diva wideout despite what went down with T.O.; why should you?

Did anyone see what Chad Johnson said after he first came onto the set and Rich Eisen gave him a hug?

I went back and watched it a couple of times. He definitely called Rich Eisen Gay. (i.e. Happy. if it gets filtered.)

LMAO, this is a PRIME example of fantasy over REAL football. In Boldin's 5 year career, he's only played 16 games in a season twice. That means 3 out of 5 years...he has not finished a season. So, you go ahead and build that franchise :football: around a player that has knee and back problems. Yep, that is one good investment.Your comment about fighting for a TD, which implies Chad doesn't have heart is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. You may not like much of his antics, which is understandable, but to question his effort on the field is so far fetched that it goes to show that your distain for the player is what is doing the talking for you. It's okay to not like him for his antics, but his play on the field makes him one of the TOP NFL WR's in the game. Not talking fantasy, but REAL football. Of course, any NFL team would love to have either CJ or Boldin.
