Hey all,

Just got off my first ever, well deserved TO.

This sad news hit my email box on Friday.   I know everyone has a lot to deal with at the moment, but let's see if we can help out!  Anything would be awesome!

We are disappointed to share this news with you, as this annual charity event is the primary source of funding for our programs supporting children with cancer and their families. Although forgoing the event will present challenges for us from a funding perspective, we want you to know that our organization is committed to continuing its support programs without interruption and has taken steps to ensure that we are able to continue to serve pediatric cancer families

Wow, just logged on to see this. Thanks so much Getzlaf!  We are obviously extremely disappointed to have had to cancel our annual charity event. Not only is it our primary fundraiser, it is also a really fun time. But with the emphasis on avoiding large gatherings, we simply couldn’t risk the safety of our supporters and our community. Thankfully, the venue, the band and most of our vendors have been pretty cool about the cancellation.  And with most of our sponsors willing to turn their sponsorships into donations, it is looking like we won’t lose money at least.

We still plan to launch our online raffle (for a pair of diamond hoop earrings valued at $5,000).  I’ll be sure to let you all know when it goes live.

Again, thanks so much!  This really is a special place filled with really awesome people.
