(KFFL) NFL.com reports Miami Dolphins LB Channing Crowder (undisclosed) left the team's Week 4 game with an undisclosed injury. He left the field under his own power and went to the team's locker room.
So I see this very "informative" piece of information and I'm still pretty miffed. He looked fine, did he just quit on the craptastic Dolphins? The defense was getting run over by Oakland, but it doesn't even seem like he came out of the locker room. What the heck?!?To make things worse, I already lost Poz...my D-linemen recorded all of 1 tackle this week...and my DB's recorded 4 total tackles. I have just put up the single worst defense point total of the season and this Crowder mystery injury was a big contributor. I know this isn't the place for this, so just limit discussion to Crowder, but I had to let off a little steam after a horrible IDP fantasy weekend.

Crowder was hurt during the game, but unsure of when.
I read it was first quarter and ankle let me see if I can find the link.ETA-http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/recap?game_id=29248&displayPage=tab_recap&season=2007&week=REG4

:ptts:BTW- I don't accuse an NFL player of being soft without some more information beyond simply leaving the game with an injury I couldn't see. I started him too in one league to my detriment, but them's the breaks.

I think we can safely say that entire defense is soft. The Phins just suck.I was mostly ticked off about the lack of info. Nothing was out for a couple of days and I watched him walk off the field and there wasn't even a slight limp. Combine that with the beating they were taking on the field and it wasn't inconceivable that a player would just want out of the game. I don't think that was the case, but there was absolutely no info out on what happened.I've since dropped his tough, legitimately injured ###.

I have seen him dropped in a number of dynasty leagues and know he did not play in the nickel this week. He was having a good year up until getting injured. I am assuming that he will go back to to the nickel when healthy and us still the heir apparent to Thomas at MLB. Does anyone know if this is still correct or do all the people dropping him know something I do not...

This continues to be the primary reason why I keep him on my dynasty squad. What are the chances Thomas remains a Dolphin after this season?

Fast forward to this week - where FBG's has him ranked # 14 on the projection list and Thomas nowhere in sight. Thomas practiced this week, so this situation is still unfolding.

Looks like a go for Crowder in the middle - and since LB's put up decent points against Buffalo, he looks like a solid start.

LB Thomas Unable To Practice Due To Headaches

Kevin Clark, Sun-Sentinel - [Full Article]

Miami Dolphins veteran LB Zach Thomas still was not cleared for contact at Wednesday's practice because of migraine headaches. HC Cam Cameron said that Thomas, who has a team-leading 52 tackles and one sack in five games, is still going through medical testing. It has not been determined if Thomas suffered a concussion in that car accident. "Migraine headaches have become a factor," Cameron said. "This is not a thigh bruise, a knee injury, an ankle injury. It seems like the information is coming out every day on [concussions]." If Thomas isn't cleared to play, OLB Channing Crowder would make his fourth start of the season in the middle while reserve Derrick Pope fills in for Crowder on the weakside.
