It was my first year doing a 5x5 standard H2H league. I decided I wanted the 12th pick and it worked out pretty well IMO. Votto and Cargo both fell to me due to Halladay and Kershaw being first round picks. My next 2 were Hamilton and Pence followed by Shields and Kennedy.

You're short on speed but overall it seems like a team you can work with.

I really had no idea where to draw the line with the speed. I took Maybin and Stubbs back to back in rounds 11 and 12 because I didnt have much speed and they both stole 40 bags last season. How many steals, on average, should I have in a league liks this? Would I be better suited starting Joyce over Stubbs?

The replies sound unnecessarily pessimistic. That team would be loaded in a ten team league. In a 12 teamer, it looks almost unfair. If half those guys play as expected, you cruise to a top 3 finish.

Yeah I'm not sure where the weakness is. He's got plenty of speed, especially for a h2h league.

There are something like 18 guys there being drafted around the top 125 in giant online leagues. In a 12 teamer, you'd expect 10 or so.

That's no guarantee of performance, but this team is disproportionately loaded with talent that the consensus of all FBB players thinks is going to perform well this year. Any suggestions on improvement would just be going against the grain for going-against-the-grain's sake.

Thanks a lot guys and I appreciate the feedback! I've never done a league like this before and I was trying to find parameters for each category. Is their a site that has something like this? Maybe the averages of the top 3 teams from previous years?

1 - looks good6 - if stubbs is hitting 7th, id start joyce. you dont need (or even want) to win steals. focus on winning the other 4 cats, and just try to finish middle-of-pack in steals.
