Chiefs vs Raiders - Week 13 (1 Viewer)

While I think it is smart for Chucky to run a lot of constraint plays like this against the aggressive defense of KC  I don't really like those calls on 3rd and short and not with a player who recently fumbled the ball.

I guess he must have some good traits. I havent seen them yet.
Speed.

Do Raiders fan still believe in Carr?  I know he can't play in the cold but this is horrendous.

That wasn't good. Hopefully a minor hypertension with no damage.
That had the look of some weak ligaments getting stretched out on the side.  But good that it didn't look like the typical ACL or Achilles. Looks like he needs some time to get healthy.

The NFL is quickly becoming the "ok, Boomer!" Of my life.   They just make this crap up as they go.

It was a good sign he could put some weight on it.

It's almost like this reviewable PI nonsense is as much of a cluster as absolutely everyone thought it was going to be.

Well this is new territory.

Youre reviewing if the guy caught the INT or not. By this rule, you need to go and check for fouls all across the board. Was there offensive holding? They checked that too, right?

The NFL is a joke.

Literally the same person reviewed two PI plays in this game and concluded that one was obvious enough to overturn and the other wasn't.  99 out of 100 third-party observers would disagree with that assessment.

Josh Jacobs just standing wide open with 20 yards of running room literally jumping up and down to get Carr's attention 3 plays in a row.  How did no one on the Raiders coaching staff see that and radio it in between any of those plays.

The NFL needs to overhaul the way games are called. I don't know if it is the refs fault or the rules or the people in charge but they need to get their crap together.

It's because everyone (including pretty much everyone here) forgot how bad the real refs are when they whined and complained about how bad the replacement refs were and pressured the NFL into signing a horrible deal that makes the worst refs possible.

One of the ex-ref "rules experts" even said as much on a broadcast a couple of weeks ago.  What do people expect from part time employees making full-time money who can't be disciplined or lose their job for performing poorly?

March: Miss football.

April: Draft!

May: Miss football.

June: Miss football.

July: Miss football.

August: Look forward to football.

September through January: Complain about football with a particular emphasis on officiating.

February: Miss football.
So accurate...lol..but at some point I have to mature as a human Or employ the "fool me once..." Mantra or something.   It's silly to subject oneself to such shoddy product, primarily due to the fact that the NFL can't consistently officiate the game correctly.  With the technology available today, they continue to force a round peg in a square hole instead of embracing it.

I would expect they do like any other half competent employer and start introducing technology and performance metrics that eliminate the need for such nonsense.  I know, though, it's not an overnight thing but the NFL doesitself ZERO favor by their methods-. They see something isn't working well, so they introduce convuluted layers and layers of rules to make it so confusing that it paralyzes the ability to do a job.

They were collectively bargained out of the ability to do a lot of this during the last deal when they were forced to cave to all the refs' ridiculous demands because everyone was freaking out about the replacement refs while forgetting that the regular refs were just as bad.

If I recall, one of those demands was that the NFL can't make any disciplinary changes from week to week or during the season based on a ref's performance.  A ref can make five Ed Hoculi mistakes (we all know the one) every week and the NFL still has to keep rolling them out there even as that guy goes back to his full-time job during the week and doesn't bother getting any better.

A bunch of old part timers who aren't getting any better.  Invest in full time refs,  it's not like the NFL doesn't have the money.

Jacobs was impressive and they may get a late trash TD.....but these teams are miles apart....Carr just can't get it done...blown out two weeks in a row...

Carr is average.  With no WRs, he really struggles.   The Raiders want to run the ball but a decimated D can't stop anyones passing game these days,.  The Raiders will likely not win another game this season and that's Ok.   Nobody in the AFC is beating the Ravens.  Will be interesting to see what happens when the Ravens go to NE for the AFC championship but the Ravens look great.
