Chris Chambers Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

Practiced on a limited basis, doesn't look like he'll play this week.

For the first time we hear the diagnosis as a 'high ankle sprain'.

Chambers limited, LT doesn't work

Linebacker Jyles Tucker declared himself almost certain to play Sunday against the Saints after missing the past three games with a hamstring strain. Receiver Chris Chambers was less optimistic, thinking it might be a good idea to rest another game and take the bye week to make sure his high ankle sprain is totally healed. Running back LaDainian Tomlinson, resting his big toe as he has almost every Wednesday since the opener, said he will practice Thursday. While many players and coaches have had trouble adjusting to the time change, he team's first practice since arriving on Monday morning seemed spirited. “From my standpoint it was good to get back out on the practice field," coach Norv Turner said. "From the players’ standpoint, very similar (feelings). They’ve had a little time - obviously they were off yesterday – they had time to check things out a little bit in London and that type of thing. They were back last night and, this morning, I thought we had good meetings and good attention and I thought we had an outstanding practice.”

I have to start VJax for the third week in a row... Here's to Chambers sitting on the bench for at least one more week..

Including the Chargers bye in Week 9, that would make 2 more.

I'm in the same boat.

But I actually prefer him to get healthy instead of risking a setback by coming back too early.

As an owner of both V. Jackson and Chambers............Chambers missing another game or so doesn't bother me a bit! More opportunities for Jackons!

Wow, no updates in 2 weeks? You guys are really dropping the ball here.KFFL:

Chargers | Chambers probable for Week 10Fri, 7 Nov 2008 15:57:55 -0800Mike Sullivan, of the North County Times, reports San Diego Chargers WR Chris Chambers (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 7. He is listed as probable for the team's Week 10 game and is expected to play.

From Rotoworld (Nov. 7): Chris Chambers (ankle, probable) practiced without limits on Friday.

Chambers isn't expected to be 100%, however, so expectations for him even against the Chiefs should be limited. Vincent Jackson could easily wind up with more targets, or San Diego could just run it 40 times in the game.

Starting V. Jax as my flex over R. Rice, hoping Chambers is still slowed up a bit.
