If any homers can help me out, what do you guys think of Cooley for the rest of the season?

I'm thinking about buying him low coming off the bye week and having such few yards. I thought he would be Campbell's safety valve this season and put up great numbers but aside from those two TD's he hasn't really done much. Is Campbell targetting him or what? Do you think he'll turn it around soon?

Also, with the injury to Moss, I'm guessing he'll be more involved?

Hey 85, tough loss last night, nice catch though. I think that better things are to be expected. In week one he was consistently doubled (they went to him on the first play of the game and came over the top for the INT). The thing that hurts is the entire right side of the oline is on the shelf for a long time. The good news, he's been asked to block more and he's good at it. The bad news he's been asked to block more and he's good at it. I still would expect them to open up the offense more and create opportunities for Cooley. One constant (without looking up the stats) is that they do target him in the red zone more than any other receiver.

Cooley owner.

Can't imagine any others who own him unloading him low.

I ----hope---- EXPECT- for him to really turn things up the rest of the way.

There was some concern that after Jansen went down, Cooley would be asked to stay back and block more. That would seem to be the case so far.

Correct. Sounds like they may need him to sit in the trenches for a while, even though they know that his strongsuit is running routes and making plays. I own him in a dynasty and I don't count on much till next year. Maybe a nice game or two, but spotty this year at best.

I dunno, the couple games I've got to see since Jansen was hurt he wasn't exactly sticking in to block on every play.(No, I'm not a Redskins fan, nor did I specfically watch him on every play in the games I caught. I could be wrong.)

He WAS, however, uncharacteristically dropping half the passes that Campbell did throw his way. I have to believe(hope) that doesn't continue.

Losing Jansen wasn't the problem it was actually losing Randy Thomas (our right guard) that made the right side of our line so weak. Todd Wade, Janen's replacement, may be playing better than Jansen right now.

I remember when Wade played for the Dolpins, was drafted early in the draft (2nd round i believe) and never really lived upto his standards so we didn't resign him and he got a big payday with the Texans who quickly let him loose too. Didn't know he was doing well, but thats great for him. I was a big fan of his in college.
