This dude is a run stopping missle.

What do you thing about his future prospects on that Wash. defense. Discuss

I think it's safe to say Washington found their new SS for the next few years. The kid constantly makes plays every game I see. Madden was commenting on his solid play

Gotta agree with Madden. BOOM! Chris Horton looks like the real deal to me.Even with LaRon Landry lining up next to him, the SS spot in D.C. isn't a bad fantasy spot to be in.

Yeah, watching the game yesterday I could have sworn I saw Sean Taylor running around. He's a rookie but man could he hit.

He's been impressive to be sure, and he's always around the ball, but let's not get carried away. Sean Taylor had more range and athleticism, was a lot bigger, and was one of the fiercest hitters I've ever seen on any football field. Horton is shaping up to be a good SS, but unlike Taylor he's about the last guy I want to see back in coverage.Longer term, Horton's job is safe as long as he continues playing at this level. There's nobody in the wings to supplant him in the lineup, and the team and the defense have much larger priorities on their shopping list this coming offseason than anything having to do with the safety position or the defensive secondary as a whole.
