I found this video fascinating. First of all, Buckley was the epitome of what a conservative should be - brilliant, logical mind and had a strong defense of his views.
What really stuck was how little has changed in 32 years - the argument is still about how liberals are pushing things too far, except the difference now is that it's 'PC', SJW's, and socialism (boo!) instead of feminism and the destruction of the family structure.
There's still a section of the country that strongly wants to move towards more enlightened thinking and a section that views the 1950's as the American ideal.
