Claritin AND Dayquil? (1 Viewer)

I messed up. I think I was having some really bad allergies so I took a Claritin. Not so much.... it is a cold. So, can I take Dayquil or do I need to wait 24 hours before taking anything else because of the Claritin?

Now, with zero research or medical degree or experience...Im going to say its probably ok.

My son takes Claritin (or zyrtec or allegra) every day...his doctor has said its fine for him to have stuff like benadryl or other stuff like that in the same 24 hours before.  Peak allergy times he will have the claritin stuff in the morning and benadryl at night after being out in the crap all day.

Not sure on Dayquil's reactions to things though.

Mixing Claritin and anything with dextromorphan can be harmful.  There are various ways to see if enough time has passed before its safe.  The easiest probably is to taste your urine.  If it's more sweet than it is salty, it's not safe.
