I didnt start reaching for de until th9. Never used it before now.

I started golem 2 15 or so days ago and I am up past 55kde already. Two level 5 pumps and ballonian racks the black stuff up. Now I just need to wait 3 days for my rage to finish and then I can probably go golem 3, lh 2 or maybe even witch 2 at the rate Im earning.

This is going to be an interesting post-mortem if we lose. These guys have very strong gowiwi at their top end. They have clearly the firepower to put 2 stars into our entire top 20.

It's super rare to find a clan with a stronger offense than defense, but we managed to find one imo.

Just because they have the firepower doesn't mean they are any good at attacking.

The idea of multiple Vals in the center of a base under a heal/rage spell is intriguing, but it's going to be awhile before I can get to Val upgrades.

Sitting as a TH8 currently - mainly working on lab upgrades now - everything else upgraded fully - all purple walls and adding black now. My L2 golem will be ready in 23 hours. After that moving on to Pekka 3 (followed by L4 Minions, L5 Wallbreakers, L5 rage, L5 Heal, L5 Lightning - not upgrading healer or valk - that's it for lab upgrades). Could move to TH9 now, but will probably nail these down before moving - probably a few more weeks for me than hopefully no more dragon rushes.

I read that you don't have to have all upgrades done, but you need a max GoWiPe. Maybe that was only relating to war attacking, any vets have thoughts?

I can't even comprehend holding 60k DE as a TH8. I don't even know if I've raided that much since I've played this game.

Check your Heroic Heist achievement and it will tell you how much DE you've earned in raids.

That is probably shamefully low given that I am nearing max TH8, but I just don't really target it. I am assuming trophy levels matter a lot too. I don't see a tremendous amount of DE at 1250, and if I do I rarely have the type of army that is built for raiding it. Perhaps I should change that approach moving forward. With being able to pour all available resources into walls, it may lessen the likelyhood of being raided for DE.

Ani and I do this differently. He'll dragon rush at times for it, essentially trading elixir for dark. I barch it, when I find a container with about 1000 DE with 1, maybe 2 mortars covering, I will punch a hole to it with WBs and BK in addition to the roughly 70/110 barbs/archers I carry while raiding. 2 lightnings and a heal are my spells, 2 zaps take out mortar or wiz tower,, barbs + BK rage + heal puts you over. I do this about once every 45 minutes or so. We both hover at 1200-1400 trophies, I have level 5 B&A.

Mix that in to your raiding plus look out for easy DE drills for 2-300 and the DE adds up quicker than you'd think.

To be fair, you two play a lot. A LOT.

I tried some barching the past few days to get back to gold and felt like I was raiding nonstop since I wasn't using spells much. But you guys dwarf the rest of the a clan in number of attacks won.

yea, I maybe raid 5 times a day and aim for collector raids with over 200k/200k gold/elix. Usually the only DE available is the drill

I was 162 in DE short yesterday, work day winding so was getting ready to head home, shield had single digit minutes left on it...hit next until I ran across a base with enough attainable DE, attacked, grabbed the queen, went home, had a beer. Almost felt like I gave birth.

HTF you guys go to 60 & 80k DE is beyond me

I'm trying to get archer queen this morning while working from home. Got busy for a minute and of course 3-zapped for 900 DE. I'm about to go on tilt just trying to get 40K DE. Very close to quitting this game if I need anything higher than that.

It was nervewracking. I wasn't expecting to get her until the weekend, but yesterday was a very good raiding day and I got more de than I expected. I really wanted to gem my upgrade to free up my builder, cuz sitting on 40k de was freaking me out. I was up till 1am hoping the game wouldn't kick me for being online too long.

I did manage to prove that a GoWiPe is not a guaranteed 2* though, so, there is that.

Edit: I think I see what happened. In the past I have added "a" witch with little effect. Then I tried to add a second and didn't notice a big change. Well, I saw others using L1 witches and so I tried a 3rd. I think I was better off with the extra wizards, or, once I went heavy and had a 4th Pekka in camp. I think I pushed the hybrid envelope a bit too far. Have to commit to either the GoWiPe or GoWiWi. 3 Pekka, 3 witches (low level anyway) seems to dilute the whole thing.

I have thought about switching out one of the golems for a pekka because it always seems there is a golem left alive near the end that doesn't do enough damage to help.

2 Golems

20 Wizards

6 Witches

14 WB's

4 Rage and 1 Heal Spell

In my CC I usually put another 8 wizards and 3 archers

Bangkok Bob does the Walking Dead with upwards of 8-10 Witches leading either a Gowiwi or Gowipe

Do you find a rage is useful for when you get in range of infernos to help take them down quicker? I'm TH9 so Freeze is not an option. I normally roll with 4 heals but don't normally hit their TH10s.

Definitely.

Usually pick the shortest distance to the TH and attack from there. Rage before Infernos and TH is key

If you want you can join one of our 3 existing clans instead of making a new one. "fbgs" (the one with close to 50 members) which wars continually, FBG2:ElectricBoog or FBG3:*Honda*. When you send your request, replace the text with "FFA" so we know you're a FBG.

For someone in your situation, just try to get a star from any base you can, so that you get loot. If it contributes to the scoreboard great, but don't worry if it doesn't. When you're higher up the board that'll change but for now you help the clan the most by making loot to advance your base with.

Sometimes people will leave their Town Hall exposed so you can kill it easily and get a star. I didn't notice anyone in this clan who did it, so you may have to just hit their 2 weakest bases.

Make sure to request war troops from us for it to help you.

Did you see the stuff I put in chat yesterday about how to lure the CC and kill the contents effectively?

They have all archers in their CC, so once lured away from the base, most efficient way to kill is drop a couple of barbs in close around them, and then a few archers circling them... or one or two wiz would also help since they do splash and can take out multiple archers in one shot. Just keep the barbs between your wiz and their archers.

I'm at 74k DE. After this war, assuming we win (we will), I'll be around 77.5k DE. I'm a few days away from my lab opening for G4. I've decided to "hide" down in the 500 trophy range for the time being.

Just to clear something up that there was some confusion about - you can start a defensive building after war is declared and still put it in your war base. As long as the war hasn't actually started, you're good.

I know because I did this with an x-bow last night.

Dude, you need to relax about this game. Everything is a big deal with you. Sankey didn't attack for consecutive wars so he got booted. How were they suppose to know what was going on in his personal life. He's not banned forever, he can get back in. If you dont attack in consecutive wars you get booted, standard procedure from the beginning. Being in a clan wouldn't have benefited him anyway when he wasn't playing. You take every jab about Honda or somebody trying to recruit a member for a war personal. Just take a deep breathe and relax.
