Quatro will be kicking off soon, just waiting for warring Hondarians to be eligible and then balance numbers.

By the way, multiple accounts from beelz have been a godsend when it comes to balancing numbers for war.
Which ones does he have?

Aj runs his own. I handle eric and charlemagne. They were my 12 year olds, but he tends to ignore them.

 
Honda with an epic win 103-101.
Turns out that last star on #10 was unnecessary. Love the extra 350/350/2k in loot though. Awesome work.

Also, to FBG1 members: It's really awesome to go to Honda/Boog for a war. When I was in FBG1 in the (much) earlier days, I relied heavily on strong troop donations like skulls and such for some successful war attacks. It just felt nice to be able to go do the same, whereas in FBG1 right now, skulls are nothing special.

Also, for those that are raiding a ton in-boost: FBG1 has the best loonion donation. I've been clan hopping the whole holiday season and it isn't really close. Just the most people who are all raiding with skulls, so if that is what you need, you get them quickest there. All the clans are pretty active donors though.

It was fun to hop around. I may keep doing so.

 
Does an attacking BK lock onto a defending troop/hero once he gets attacked by them? He ignores buildings and defenses and tracks down the attacking troop, right?

That's where the jump spells allow him to take out an AQ, I guess.

Yep. Or if the defenders target any other attacking unit and he's in range.

Not 100% sure, but I believe once a defending unit hits an attacking unit, then any other attackers in the area who aren't already in the act of attacking with target the defending troop. Not counting hogs, giants, loons, etc that only go after defenses.

I think if an attacking unit is already fighting a building though, it will keep attacking the building until it is destroyed. Only when the unit is ready to find a new target will he target the defensive unit. If the attacking unit is walking towards his next building target but hasn't actually begun to attack yet, he'll change direction to go get the defending troop if it hits an attacker.

Other things to keep in mind. Let's say the CC troops are heading towards your lure unit, but haven't attacked it yet. I don't think they get priority as a target yet until they damage one of your troops. So let's say you drop a few wiz to hit the traveling CC troops, but there's some buildings as close or closer as the CC troops. Your wiz may target the building instead particularly if it's closer, and not stop shooting it until it's destroyed even if they get attacked then. Seen a lot of war attacks screwed up because people don't lure to an open area so the CC units are the closest things. Their archers/wiz shot buildings instead while they got butchered because they wouldn't retarget until the building died.

With defending AQ's, one problem is when they stand behind a wall shooting one of your units. Then your units go and try to smash through the wall to get to her, all the while she is shooting them and defenses are shooting you.

That's what the latest Hive video showed. So the attacker will bring a jump spell so she can't hide behind the wall. But the timing is still really tricky I feel.

 
Had someone named Nathan request with the password. Not in the roster and didn't recall the name so I asked his ffa name. He said he had it somewhere but couldn't find it.

I kicked him after saying to post in the forum here. If someone claims him let us know. Don't want a war opponent who googled us coming in and getting trap locations and CC contents.

Nathan and Jack are brothers, both friends of someone in Honda. Both were in Honda for a long while, I think I saw Nathan back in Honda earlier today. I don't remember whose friends they are, but both are young kids under 12 I believe.

I've been told that FBG4 is not one-cannon friendly. My brother is currently leveling up a one-cannon. He's got TH7 under construction right now, so it'll still be a little while before I have him dragon-ready. Can anyone from FBGs/Honda/Boog tell me if they have a one-cannon policy and can Culd or anyone who's done the one cannon thing tell me when it becomes war viable? My recollection is TH7 with max army caps/spells and with level 2 dragons. He's happy to avoid wars until he's not a huge liability, I just want him to be in a clan with me so I can continue to dump him super-leet troops.

By the way, ti's really annoying how ####### easy loot is to get at the TH5-TH7 levels.

I know what you mean about easy loot. I don't even feel like I'm trying with PointToTheShirt. Last night I was at near max stores while I was cranking out beginning TH7 upgrades, and no one even raided me as I kept setting the phone down for 10 minutes, then picking it up to do the next raid. It's frustrating how much work it is to earn the same amounts at higher levels.

I know, I was thinking about when he's eventually ready to war. Based on Culd's guide, it's not too far off. At that point, we'll have to find a new home. Zero problem with him getting booted/re-invited right now, that'd be the same in any clans we he's a huge war liability as is.

Re: the loot, there's been a couple of nights where I've played his account for him. It's ridiculously easy. One night he had three builders available. I think I played for 90 minutes (with boosted barracks) and all three builders were busy when I put it down. One was a TH upgrade. He has crap troops, but you can still easily barch villages with 200k/200k, even if he doesn't have CC skulls from me.

I never realized barch was a strategy back then, I was grinding out giant attacks. It's so frigging easy. Makes me want to start a second account.

 
Yeah, once you have goblins unlocked you could easily get to TH8 without ever making anything else. Though faster earning with a few giants/wb/barb/arch to break into the middle of bases and occupy/kill mortars or wiz.

I've come to really love that moment in an attack when the 80 goblins who have been getting gunned down in a one-sided battle by the defenses so far, finish off the last resource and suddenly unleash hell on all those defenses that had it so easy up until then.

 
I need a clan guys, mine I'm currently in sucks. I'm a mid TH8 and I like to war. What is the best place for me and what do I search.

 
I think I may be at the point where defensive upgrades may take me longer than the research upgrades. This assumes that I don't do all of the upgrades, which I am not sure I am.

Here is what I have left to upgraded:

- Archers to level 6

- Healers to level 4

- Heal spell to level 6

- Minions from level 3

- Valks are level 1

- Hounds are level 1

Hogs to level 5 is in progress.

The archer upgrade seems marginal, but I have 5.5 million elixir laying around so I was thinking I'd just do it when the hog upgrade finishes.

I never use healers anymore. Minions at level 3 has been sufficient for loonian. I never use Valks or Hounds.

Couldn't hurt to upgrade Valks and Hounds, but I'm using all available DE right now on heroes.

Defensively, I've got this left to do:

- Both X-bows (to level 3)

- One mortar upgrade

- Two archer towers

- One wizard tower

- Haven't upgraded any of the random bombs/air bombs/etc. since TH8

So any thoughts as to whether I should push the TH10 button? The loot penalty would suck but I would sure feel better about spending time researching things like wizards and golems than archers and healing spells. The inferno towers would be a nice upgrade for wars as well. Or, I could go TH10 "light" and only upgrade offense so as not to hurt our war match-ups ("our" being whichever clan I end up warring in).

Happy to hear any thoughts.

 
So watching the newest CoC commercial on tv and all I can think is: How likely is it that someone with an L3 or L4 archer tower has an L2 witch in the CC? Also, the level of AT they showed had 3 archers on top of the tower and that doesn't help until later.

Max Heal probably gives the best return and pairs nicely with your soon to be max hogs. Gives you the best options for three star attacks right now from the troops comps you have. I wouldn't bother with Upgrading your hounds unless you also are willing to upgrade your minions.

As far as the loot penalty for TH10, that really depends on where you are farming. If you get the majority of your income from TH8's, then it will be an issue. If you are farming in crystal 2+, you won't really suffer anything.

Think I'm going to miss the Quatro war that kicks off tomorrow. Also will be out both wars this coming weekend. If any of the 3 accounts are there when it's time to kick off, if you would just boot me and then send me an invite after so it's easy to get back (click on the boot message, profile me and hit Invite). I'll rejoin whenever I can get back on.

Is someone going to be able to kick off Quatro, or should we promote another?

 
It's hard to say how much it is helping or not... going to TH10 but not doing much in the way of defensive upgrades. I think we've had about an equal number of good and bad matches since in Quatro since I did it. My attack power was noticeably up with just all 4 camps upgrade and the spell factory for Freeze.

But then again I've given up stars on defense I would haven't have with infernos. Who knows if we'd have gotten a tougher match though. Just hard to say with so few data points and everyone else in the clan upgrading at the same time too.

the outer most shell is defensive structures in a ring around the base. takes hogs and golems/giants for a walk around the park setting traps and to buy time

middle layer is all non-defensive units so the golems/hogs/giants will not be interested

inner core is a mixture

I maxed all gold and elixir items (including walls). I wish I would have gotten my King to 10 (made it to 8) and done more DE upgrades. With the extra DE drill, that should be much easier to do now.

I'll have my BK to 10, but leaving several DE lab items on the table. Should also be 90% skull walls by the time I hit the button.

The infernos alone are a major difference. As a TH9 I was routinely giving up 2 stars and sometimes 3 to a high TH9 or a TH10. Since I went to TH10 and put in the 2 infernos, I've logged a few zero star defenses, a few 1 stars and I think only 1 two star.

 
Prediction: Supercell gives us a TH11 (or more) by mid-year. Map size to increase by 20% to allow for the additional structures that come with the higher THs.
