FBG's - once this war is complete I'm going to drop for a few days. Had an unexpected death in the family and need to bolt to OH for a while. Probably won't have a decent connection and frankly don't need to be worrying about this. I'll be back later in the week to re-up if there is space.

FBGS- My +5 is 44, don't really want to waste an attack on a TH7...anyone want to switch?

My queen was level 20 and they hogged me. Granted they only got 2 stars, but my AQ did not deter them.

I would attempt to fully Hog any reasonable base on first attacks. 3 star strategy and a great scout if you settle for the 1 or 2.

I would just sit tight vin and be ready for cleanup somewhere higher. I would imagine yoga, rrn (if he's around), toast, the w, and Julio can handle their 44-50. That's 10 attacks for 7 bases.
Idk about the rest of them but much higher and I'm not sure if yoga can 3 star a base so I'll be using both attacks in that range.

My first Quatro attacked failed - 45% in their #2 - a fairly maxed out TH10. I went with 4 Hounds, 16 Skulls, 20 Minions - 3 Rage/2 Freeze
Went wrong in a couple areas . . .
Opposing CC troops messed me up in the core.
My minions took way too long to get to the middle. Most Quatros I've seen have the minions and lava pups taking down the TH.
My Heros were useless as they lopped around the outside. maybe a couple WB's at the end to getbthem in?
Couple things I need to work on & practice . .
Might deploy hounds all together on one AD - splitting them up has just too much going on in 2 different places.
With 4 Hounds taking up 120 spots it's tough trying to account for opposing CC. This attack I went with 7 more skulls to attack with rather than a CC kill squad.
If anyone has any time I'd appreciate any reviews.
Got Lv3 Hounds this morning - Lv6 minions in 14 days !
This will be my war attack going forward. It's the best shot at 2/3 starring Th10's IMO.
Want to become a Quatro ninja. Until they nerf that of course and the next big attack becomes some WB/goblin thing.

I have 3 of their bases in my editor now. Using one now. Planning on doing last second swaps in the last hour of war prep, but all of them would be real bases.

I'm using one of theirs as well and haven't been attacked yet. I couldn't figure out the placement of all the bombs/traps from a replay, but otherwise, it looks like a strong base.

My TH9 in FBG4 has never been 3 starred and is usually 0 or 1 starred even by th10s, and I only have 1 defense upgraded to a th9 level.
(I do have strong walls and teslas).
I'll see if I can figure out how to copy it here.
Out of 36 possible stars, it's only yielded 15
Recently had a full on drag rush try and get NADA. Hogs seem to be the only option

Great write up.
My next troop upgrade will be Hogs to lvl 4. After that I will likely be using hogs more than dragons as I'm sick of my failure rate with dragons being so high against top TH8 bases.

Problem with hogging th8 bases is you have most of them staying somewhat spread out to make dragons circle. Same issue opens up problems for hogs both with circling hogs, as well as big bombs. With TH8 you could hit at most one double big so it's viable, but deployment is much, much more tricky on a th8 vs a th8.
The very best hog attack, and one that really was eye popping was how they took down one of our eclipse bases. Maybe c-jays, not sure. Long story short was they used a kill squad for cc then just fanned out hogs one one complete eclipse side. away from queen and just pre-healed all over the place.
I never would have thought that was viable, but damn if it didn't ruin that base. It should be a blueprint for all of us taking on a ringus or eclipse style base. I don't think we've ever had a war where the other clan didn't have at least 3-5 of those types of bases in th9

Pre-tripped an obvious double big location
Queen was asleep. BK was 15.
Tripped cc and killed with barch
35 hogs + CC hogs
5 L6 heal spells
And it really wasn't all that close. He had about 15 hogs alive to cleanup and basically all his barch.

One of hardest parts as a TH8 on TH8 hogging is if the skeletons are set for ground they will wreck hogs. A good thing to do is have witches in your CC and pack a few wizards. That kill squad will take out their CC and still mostly be alive. Launch hogs from the same side where those troops are, hogs take out defenses keeping witches and wizards alive and they'll help deal with skeleton traps/king.

War Log against the Chinese last war, 3 star attack on 29...max TH8 defense with Lvl 5 King, replay is still up.

True but I was wondering the same thing. That way if you do hit a big bomb or double big bomb she don't lose them all. I think the problem is that it's harder to keep them healed.

Oops, I misread instinct's question.
It's gonna depend on the pathing you expect. If you have a super compartmenty type base where hogs won't hit springs or bombs then stream them right at the cluster in a line.
If it's all spread out with lots of open space, or has a traditional hog ring (see ringus/eclipsey bases) then a spread deploy is likely the better choice. If you do a spread deploy and there's a hog ring then hogs will tend to meet up in the middle.
Like anything it's going to depend n the base.
