I've been watching this guy push to 4000 trophies the past few days and it does NOT look fun.

He uses a full war army (with war CC troops) on every attack, which if he's lucky the opponent will offer 4 cups with the ultra occassional 20+ cup offer. I mean the crowd goes wild when he finds the rare 1 cup trophy snipe. So you spend all night making tough war attacks and eventually push ahead 20-25 trophies or so, and then a single fail sets back all the progress you made that night.

Can't even imagine how long it'd take if he wasn't spending tens of thousands of gems to gem his armies every attack and then buying a shield everytime he logs off.

Has anyone here ever been at 4000+?

It takes a ton of dedication and IMO cheating to get that high. More than just bluestacks, but bluestacks is a req. It's gotten easier with this timeout thing they added lately (also a cheat) which reportedly has made it even more impossible to make it that high.

As an aside, Quattro has a strange match up right now. They have 87 war wins but their troops are crap. Hardly anyone has golems upgraded past level 1, and only a couple even have max hogs (initially I thought they might be a hogging clan). So far it looks like they roll with giants, wizard, and relatively high level heroes. We'll see how it plays out, but unless we're all missing the boat on something called GiWizHer (which would be a great name), I'm not sure how they're going to put up points on the board.

5 hound attack tips.

1) If you can get the queen and cc gathered together near an AA that's the one I put 3 hounds on. A lot of times when hound 1 dies the AQ and cc will start shooting hound 2 while the pups can attack queen and cc freely.

2) Enemy AQ positioning. It's important to use that 30 seconds at the before the attack to wait for the AQ to get positioned to where she will be in the way of splash damage. This is an easy one to do but probably something that just slips under the radar.

3) speed/pathing of loons. Got to get the loons to the AA with the AQ in a hurry so splash damage can assist in taking her out. This is just something that will take practice as we learn these attacks.

4) 2 or 3 backside loons can be a huge help once the backside defenses lock in on the remaining hounds.

5) I like to use heroes to help take out backside defense if it's easy to get to, especially a wiz tower. The pups are for cleanup so no need to drop heroes from the same side the original attack started from.

6) if you're a th9 I'd strongly consider skulls amd level 2 hounds as the most important upgrades to focus on.

Thats all I got for now. I'll probably be using some variation of a hound attack for the foreseeable future from what I've seen to this point so happy to help anybody that wants to try it out.

I think if we see anyone with down xbows it's pretty much going to fall to a pent.

Up Xbows and a really congested base is the next most vulnerable if the queen can die quick.

My Quad was super close to a 3. I'm not sure an extra hound would have made it 3. Both xbows were up so hounds aren't going to help much there. Any xbow needs to fall to 3 loon strikes or splash deaths. That's a lot to ask with a pent.

Got up to a TH5 this weekend. Just plugging away and trying to figure out what the heck language you guys are speaking. But I am a quick learner, and having a little fun in the process.

As I said last night. Yet another way for the FFA to monopolize my time.

Honestly the only thing that held you from 3 stars was item #2 above imo. Watch the difference in your attack and tams for start point of enemy AQ and how quickly she dies because of it on tams attack. Just a slight adjustment that we all need to be aware of to help on these hound attacks. Use that 30 seconds pre battle to your advantage.

5 - jump at the 4 oclock corner and into the core. Seems the easiest PG of the lot actually imo.

6 - double jump from 7 oclock tougher because 50% would be hard.

7 is just 6 with weaker walls and an xbow way out in the weeds

9 - might get away with pent golem and some valks? tough

10 - I think you can get away with this without ever having to deal with queen from 5 oclock

12 - double jump would work great as he's got a ton of defenses packed in down south that golems would track to and over - this and 5 look like the best bets

I've got about 900k total resources sitting and waiting for someone to loot it. Probably get to a million later today as collectors fill up.

Maxed it all to entice attacks while I wait for stuff to finish upgrading.

I like watching the replays to see how good attackers approach things. Not the ones who win via more firepower, but the ones who think things through and make a good guess or two. It's also fun to watch the attacks that crash and burn.

Something maybe has changed in the normal match make cycle. I am not getting as many people hitting my TH when laid out in a snipe. I'm actually catching a lot of TH snipe revenges now.

I wonder if to discourage this practice they are putting people that have had several losses in a row out of the clouds? Shuke of all people is also seeing fewer attacks. He went 8 hours without a shield and nobody hit him over the weekend.

I'm not really complaining, but it makes things sort of hard when trying to prep for war and get a shield to get a hound or something that isn't useful for a normal cc.

If I see an exposed TH I consider it like having an offsides penalty flag already thrown. Take the TH and take a massive swing on the base if it has any loot at all just to see what happens. Worst case you get the trophies and loot bonus, best case you jack some more of their stuff. Better than taking a big swing and dropping 28 cups imo.

FBGS has hit another threshold. Last 3 losses we have hung with them step for step in TH9 and below, but are 10 or more stars down in TH10 area.

Two steps forward one step back. I think our mix is good, but we need to find ways to consistently add 2 stars to TH10 bases now.

Honestly we aren't in an awful spot in FBG1. We have 9 TH10 attacks left.

We get Everything south of TH10 to par and get 12 TH10 stars we put the screws to them. They have several attacks left, but at that point they have to execute well.

It's a tall order, but at some point we will need clutch 2 stars on TH10s with solid towers. Whether that's penta golem or hound or a jumping super fur thing I dunno.

BTW, and I'm not sure how long this will last, but we seem to have some good clan hopping going on between Honda and SeriousBus. With the current set up of these two clans, peeps have 0, 1, 2, or 3 wars a week available to them.

It reminds me of the old fbgs and Boog days with guys hopping back and forth, before we got too many people to handle it.

I did great grinding gold and de at 500. Your elixer pumps will keep you full on elix since you have to pack heavy there.

Gold collectors are maxed. I have a couple elixir collectors to go.

Don't forget you can buy tons of decorations to stash resources in. You only get 10% of the back when sold but it's better than having it stolen.
