I watched a lot of the onehive/powerbang war.

Some comments:

-Their TH9 on TH9 hog raids really struggled. The comps they used were usually exactly

2L4 Golems

1L5 Golem in CC

20-22 hogs

A mix of WBs/giants/wiz to finish out

-The bases were designed with the idea to make the kill of the queen as expensive as possible while taking as much time as possible. Jake's base in particular was interesting. He basically made two bases one that was strictly setup to protect his queen and another meant to defend against the 2nd phase.

-OH had nearly no 2 stars on TH10 but got all but one 3 star on TH9s and won by 4. no th10 3 stars for either group

-defensive cc were nothing special most were skulls but a few mixed in some sneaky wiz with the skulls that did some serious damage before people saw them because the loons blocked the view of the wiz. I'm gonna try that.
How's laloon looking?
Only saw a few th10 swing down and grab 3. Didn't see any th9 try one.

Quattro may be going to war with 10 tonight, if at all, lol. FBGs is at 48/50, Honda is full. Basically we have like 110ish people who want to war right now, so about 10 are SOL.
Come through to FBGs IMO
I think a couple in Quattro definitely should. I'm kinda attached to my dragon-rush-only brother, so I don't really mind being one of the last guys in the Quattro trench.

Harry should go if he hasn't already, as should EYLive IMO. Not sure who else is even still here.

Surely both of them will post war recaps, probably only the 3 stars. There were a lot of fails.

 
Can anyone that remembers Loonian @TH8 give me some pointers? I just finished L5 loons today and want to give it a shot for farming.

Is carrying 5/6 hogs to take out an exposed AD sensible?

 
Red loons need heals. They do enough damage but die fast. I would take a few drags to tank. Whether you take hogs sort of depends on if hitting mostly th8 or 9. Probably not needed.

I can't remember my comp exactly, I wanna say zaps for one airD and 30 loons. Somethong to lure with and the rest minions. It's been awhile.

 
If I remember correctly, the mission statement for quatro was some thing like, "war if you want to, opt out if don't want to war, no pressure either way".

There are still 36 members in the clan.

 
I know we've talked about this fifty times, but things are different now in that one of the three war clans has more or less eroded down into nothing. If there's a number of non-war guys in Honda, seems like it would be less complicated now to swap some guys on. Quattro could be the non-serious/both heroes down*/randomly opted out clan.

* - not in the sense that people should be required to not war if their heroes are down, but it seems like many prefer not to anyway.
Quattro has slowly been shedding warring members for some time now. However, it has gotten to the point where 10-15 are warring.

I am encouraging those in quattro who are looking for serious wars to go over to fbgs or Honda after the current war is over.

Quattro will convert over to a farming clan. Any wars we do take part in will not be serious. This may change as the clan evolves and nothing is set in stone (farming wars?).

If the other clans can start trimming their non-warring / farming / junk account wood to begin making room for quattro refugees, that would be great. Anyone in the other clans who would like this style of clan are also welcome to come over to quattro.

 
So I'm 2 weeks away from being able to be a full participant again and Quattro just about closes up shop? :sadbanana:

How many people are totally inactive in Quattro? Just looking at the names, gotta be a pretty good number that are pretty much totally inactive, right?

Part of the concern is that those left in quattro are not active. We have some non war members who are active but just don't want to war.
I think there were only a half dozen or so completely dead accounts. Beelz crew went MIA which is 4 accounts. Greg has 3 accounts that are pretty minimal. The rest are active/semi-active..

Broke out two very amateurish aq walks during the farm war. I think this thing has legs. Both times didn't quite catch the breaks with the walk but can correct these errors even with a cc in there.

Shuke is out and two spots open. Had to raise trophies because fbgs is now a top200 usa based clan
Not sure how recent the war was but I was watching some clan war highlights over the weekend from After Dark vs 300! clan war. Most of them were attacking with what you call "AQ Walks"

Interesting attacks. Variation of a cold blooded but with the AQ doing serious damage up front. Going to give this a shot for my 2nd attack to practice. Should be a disaster.

Need to figure out how many Healers? To Golem or not to Golem? Spells?

I think 1 golem is pretty standard unless you have a pretty near max king. Depends somewhat what you are able to get on the walk. If the queen is shalow and you can get two aa then no golems are needed.

I've even seen some lately that don't even bother killing the queen on a laloon.

The expected ::trainwreck:: just happened against their #4. Should have stayed away from 40/40 Heros and shot lower with my first "AQ walk" attack.

Rage spell on the AQ and 3 Healers at same time is pretty cool.

Seems like you send in a Fur and/or Golem when heavy defenses key on AQ. I can never teall which way the AQ will go though.

I think that one I would have used minions to kill the spell lab then walked left to right on the bottom edge with a jumping golem at the AA and king there. Backside laloon assuming the queen gets the TH and you get 3.

Max haste will have us 3 starring a crap ton of TH10s this way.

And I don't think it's going to be limited to laloon. You could certainly roll hogs the TH9 walking hogs make me think it's possible at TH10.

And to why this works: They changed the AQ behavior where she would without much consistency break walls to get at closer buildings, now she will not shoot a wall unless she absolutely has to so using her tendency to orbit the base coupled with the fact that people put anti air about or greater than 9 tiles in with healers having a 14 tile range to the AA makes them a perfect shatter.

And this has huge applications for gowipe as well. Keep in mind on the priority tree pekkas are above queen though so a healer will break off a healed queen to heal a damaged pekka.

 
After our last war, I'm moving to the 4 golem/2 Pekka/2 jump spell layout. Tried it this AM for an easy 2 stars on a decently developed TH10.

That said, wasn't someone saying that 4 max quakes could almost take out an inferno tower along with the walls nearby? I think that'd be a game changer for me.

I think, but not totally sure where you can verify this, that 4 max quakes gets a max inferno down to 45% of total health. So....In a sense you take a jump/rage and make it a quake.

Value here is going to be very base specific. Obviously, on a moat style (think CF) quake has tremendous value. On a dragonflower type base it has less value.
