Clash of Clans (Official thread) (8 Viewers)

I do think OTX was right about a matchmaking shift. We are getting more organized clans since the update and clans with alot of wins. We beat 3 clans since the update which have had 60 wins and 3 losses between them before we rolled on the scene.

Even with the shift there really has only been one challenge.
Where do you see a clan's losses?
I don't think you can in the game. But the last few clans have had their record in their message or on their website, or told us in exchanges of clan messages back and forth.

Was just thinking, if I gem to finish my TH upgrade today, I'll be able to have my spell factory back for the 2nd FBG1 war. I believe if your spell factory is upgrading, you still can use any spells that it held when you started upgrade, you just can't use new ones. Can anyone confirm that?

If so I could just not use my current spells, and have them for my first attack on Sunday. Second attack I'll just have to go at someone weaker as I won't have spells. But then the next war after I'd have my factory back online before I attack. Otherwise I will have 3 out of 4 war attacks without spells.

Won't affect much else besides my wallet. Timing of other TH9 upgrades would either start early, or would start at the same time as they would have otherwise, so no downside there.

This one isn't going to be much of a challenge either for the boog. Honestly, I think it would take a pretty substantial weighting towards our opponents for either BFF clan to lose.

Send me the clan name i will try to join it
I just tried to but apparently you can't cut and paste from inside the iPad app. And no way am I trying to write down and somehow find a keyboard to type all those Asian characters. What's astounding is they have a minimum trophy requirement of 1600.

Kanil - I think your nephew being in the clan is fine but I don't think we can add his two friends as well. Looks like someone just let them in. That puts us at 49 with undoubtedly some fbg2 folks wanting to come over before the next war.

Just want to let you know that I think I will bump them.

We're ok with fbgs and even friends or relatives of fbgs. But going to the next level of friends of friends is too far.

We might want to start talking about a third clan anyway. For the lower level guys in particular, would there be any value in having a third clan that caters to the lower levels a bit more? So our TH5's and TH6's aren't so overwhelmed in war, unable to get a star unless someone left a TH unexposed?

We'd not want them shut out of getting the higher level troops. But for instance if they could hang out in that clan, do wars at whatever pace they like. When the other clans are not in a war and they are planning to actively raid, jump back over to get higher level troop donations, and move back when done to free up war slots?

I'm just throwing these out as ideas. If there's better ways to do it, or not worth doing at all, that's good too.

We would likely need one of those lower-level or non-warring folks go start a third clan. Seems like everyone interested in getting one going are in the higher group.

But lower level or not, let's refrain from adding more non-fbgs to the clan. I think everyone that is in is perfectly fine, even if they aren't an fbg (wives, kids, etc.) Everyone has paid their dues, so to speak.

But we are pretty much full up at this point. So if you want to add in more people because you like the clan (totally understandable) then someone will have to take the bull by the horns and get fbg3 going.

How many fives and sixes are left? I was our #34 in our last war and I'm a pretty decent TH8.

Looks like we only had 4 5/6 last war and a handful of 7s. But there may be more in the other clan.

Either way, there has definitely been a lot of upward movement.

I think a lot of the lower guys benefit from the higher guys, especially in war. Sure there are higher level THs but the lower levels typically match out well no?

There has to be 5-10 of us TH8s that are getting ready to graduate too. We will have a full crew of TH10s before too long.
I'll be stuck at TH8 for another couple of months I think. Probably $40mm in upgrades to do, not even including going to purple walls.

I heard all of the accounts belong to Kim Jong Un - he has never yielded a star in a clan war nor failed to get 150 stars vs his opponents.

Good luck Boog.

With our +5 strategy they tend to get the table scraps.

And though some do match up well in wars, there are also plenty of wars where they can't take down anyone. And it will only get worse if we get any newcomers as we all move up.

That's cool with me. I didn't even know they'd been invited.

I can start a minor league clan on Linak if that's what we want to do. We'd need to get 15 people in it to be able to war though. If we can get 15 people willing to move let me know and I'll start it up.

**Edited to add**

It would be really nice if the minor league clan could get help with war troops also. If we scheduled their war outside of FBGS wartimes we could have some people come over and donate hogs and what not to them during their war.

Yeah, the war we got 150, I watched some of our lowest ranks attacking their #50 and I don't think they stood much chance. 1 star would have been difficult.

We can always have a new clan that has higher levels in it. I was just trying to see if those guys would enjoy it more if there were some wars with lower level opponents. However we do it, I don't want to see them shut out of getting frequent high level troops donated. I do think if they are actively raiding for awhile, jumping to the clan not at war, then going back when they are going to quit, can help with that. Though any way we slices it, a 3rd clan probably isn't going to be as active as the current ones.

heres a joke that will win them over

하루에 한 명 농부하고 한 명 미국사람 정류장에서 만난다. 버스가 지나 간다. 그리고...

농부님: 왔데...
미국사람: Monday. (뭔데?)
농부님: 버스데...
미국사람: Oh, happy birthday!

I think we can probably work that, if whichever existing clan isn't at war will send some people over. I was even doing that already for FBG2 in one of the wars that a lot of high level donators sat out, so Clayton didn't have to spend buku DE stocking people with attack troops.

Culdeus, FBG2 does have "The massive sequel to fbgs" in their clan message. So if you leave and come right back to fbgs, it'll be pretty obvious you were snooping them. Or, if they google and find this thread.

if you want to keep both of your accounts in FBG, I have a second account at TH5 or 6 I forget that I play around with while i wait on upgrades and such so I can run the other clan. I have no plans to move that account into the FBG clans and it's currently clanless.

throw me a new clan name and I'll get it started at lunch time today. FBG3: The Trilogy?

editing to add it'll be up and running and u guys can choose to use it as u see fit. no immediate changes or movements necessary.
