Any advice/tips/tricks to get to Masters? I'm in champions right now grinding. Just wondering....plus, this thread hasn't been bumped in several days. ywia
I like BK dropping and then surrendering right away, but others prefer to drop a single barb/archer.

It could be the stress of work right now. Or the string of farm war boredom coupled with some of our bad beats, but, I'm gonna sit out for awhile. I used to look forward to the war attacks and have really lost that recently. :sadbanana:

 
How do people transfer their accounts to others? My brief internet searching suggests one needs SC support to change emails or gamecenter IDs associated with the account. Is there a way around that?

I gave away a max th8 base I had but the email went with it. I'm guessing the email your base is tied to doesn't fall into that category. Need to set it up via Google then bluestacks or an Android device to be able to transfer it. At least that's how I did it.

And I know you are asking for a friend because if you're talking about your TH10 base I firmly believe there are those in Honda who will hunt you down and hurt you.

Can you guys set me up with a quick pentaloon tutorial?

So far I've got 4 lvl2 hounds, and one lvl3 in the CC, 16 skulls, 10 max minions.

so I deploy in a circle?

eta: I also got 4 rages, 1 poison and both heroes up.

Max Quake + AQ Walk with 2-3 golems and 2-3 Pekkas is tough to stop for 2 stars on TH10's. Will be my go to war attack going forward.

Now to perfect it to a 3 star strat.

 
Nothing much going on. AQ38 asleep now. I'm going to be in an arranged matchup against Fallen Misfits http://www.warclans.com/coc-clan/B65RABMZJin a week or so assuming everything sets up right with a shiny new AQ40. Fallen Misfits is on something like a 78 win streak and part of the FPC and wants a challenge.

No infernos. Have only about 7 no weight upgrades remaining to max out 9.5. Maybe less, need to count.

I thought this video was funny. It's basically "The Shammy" repackaged with big:ger heroes for TH9.

I've been having great success lately with war clan castle defense of:

9 minions

1 witch

1 wiz

1 goblin

What can happen is the minions get out quick and do damage and people panic drop the poison but miss the witch/wiz. It's also pretty unusual so people just freak out.

Why the goblin?
Goblin comes out first. And if they pre-anchor it will run across the map, quickly, to hit the anchor. Also promotes confusion and can't be lured by a loon. I've tried 5 archers and that works nearly as well as the wiz/gob combo. the goal here is to get them to panic drop the poison and miss the witch/wiz/arch. The warmup time of poison now is such that a blob of minions can do a crap ton of damage before they go down.

 
With my buildings maxed I'm fighting to stay engaged. Grinding walls and heroes isn't a lot of fun. We need a few good, competitive wars like the one that just ended.

I have been running almost the same thing except with all archers instead of the minions/goblin with the same idea in mind. Might have to try it with the minions.

Usually what you see is people let the queen destroy a large section that infernos don't cover, but doesn't have enough point defenses to give you trouble. Towards the end you might send something in to get the cc moving towards her. If it's a hound you for sure want to get it out and moving to the queen to deal with when she's about wrapped up the walk.

Then you push in with a pretty standard ground army to get to the core and get the infernos and heroes dead. If the core is tight you might send valks in instead of pekkas. Just depends.

Now the queen, at full health comes in to help cleanup and in some cases get the 3*.

Some videos out there that utilize AQHealer strats with EQ call it a Queen Charge rather than a queen walk. It's just a matter of convention.

It's actually pretty effective for these new TH10 bases that are showing up everywhere with Clover type cores, but wider spread out walls to try and stop the jumpy 6 golem thing.

4 Healers

2 Golem

3 Pekkas

5 Wiz

2 WB

5 Hogs - help cleanup at end whiel defense are destracted by remaining golems/pekkas.

CC = Golem, 2 WB, Barb

Spells = 4 EQ, Poison, 2 Rage, 1 Freeze

4 EQ first to open middle of base to make TH more accessible - also does decent damage to surrounding defenses - infernos, xbows, etc

Usually start AQ walk at corner of base bear an army camp - she will usually go opposite direction of army base.

When she reached end of that wall . . . jump golem/pekka horde into opposing AQ, and CC

Rage up to TH

Freeze Inferno/Xbow when AQ walk nears center

Second rage can be used on AQ/Healers if it get dicey. AQ ability also used when it gets dicey.

Tough part is keeping healers on AQ - mine love to jump on either golem or pekka.

Hard to describe the whole thing - if I knew how to post a video of my attacks I would.

I can't find the post Clayton made about a TH9 strategy. Wasn't it upgrade all offense, get all new defenses up to par, then build walls? I am getting raided like crazy.

What trophy level? Best way to not get crushed is to get into masters/champs and put your TH out. You're sniped instantly 90% of the time.

1. Camps, labs, CC, Heros

2. Get new defenses up to TH8 levels

3. Work on D from there and pump excess resources into walls.

 
I'm at Crystal 1. I tried putting the TH in the cc, in hopes people wouldn't attack as frequently, but I can barely get troops built before being attacked.

I have like 40k DE, and less than a mil of G&E. Luckily, my DE defense has been pretty good.

All my walls are dark, and I've started on the 1mil a piece ones(30 or so).

I think I'm just going to keep upgrading walls, and collecting DE.

Putting the TH in the cc???

Put your TH in the corner of the map far away from all defenses.

Cliff is absolutely right about setting your TH out. That's the #1 thing you can do.

Also, build your xbows if you haven't already.

I could very well hang around just to war. But if/when I retire altogether, I'll find a way to make sure the base stays in Honda. Assuming I can de-couple it from my gamecenter ID, still not clear on how to do that.

Imo there's been one, maybe two, wars in the last 50 days that you couldn't have predicted the end result within five minutes of the match.

Checked our war log out of curiosity, we've had two wars within single digits in the last 50 days. It's been brutal.

 
I think if you look at the ideal makeup for fair clan wars it has at a minimum 2x the TH9/8 as TH10. Once you tip the scale to where that is 50/50 you get in a no mans land of sorts. This is why you usually see TWC keep TH10 counts in the 10-15 range unless they are heavy modders. It's really hard to break into an upper elite TWC that is even remotely fair play as a TH10 but they'll give any TH9 a try. There's also tremendous pressure to not go to TH10. Like, go to TH10 and we'll see you in a year pressure.

109-81 them. Obviously we gave up but I don't think we could have got within 15.
