Their 23 attacked Bill, who held again.

Bananafish went ahead and hit #6 and got a first star on him.

Their #1 hit Jason, who had only 1 star, and picked up a 2nd star on him.

Their #4 hit Nighthawk who held (only 1 star on the attack).

Their 34 attacked Bill who held again.

They have attacks left from 12, 13, 23, and two from 26. #13 was scouting, attacked and quit (don't think he ghosted but didn't see for sure how long it was).

 
Aiden wasn't able to pick up stars on #3.

Jason hit 14 but wasn't able to better the 2 stars we already had.

Their 13 hit Jason for no new stars.

Their 12 hit Nighthawk and picked up a third star.

WAR IS OVER

Reiterating what is being said in chat... big props to those who scouted bases with their attacks near the end. It is so helpful knowing what is in CC and where traps are. If you need some awesome troops for raiding just request.

 
In the 20+ wars in my previous clan I never experienced that. Just nerve racking.

Quite relieved my arrival didn't cause the first loss.

Declare again in the morning ?! Don't know if I'm a good fit for this clan?

Ah . . . What the hell . . . Too much fun to leave now.

Awesome job. I think we learned a bit on planning this time. +10 may be the way to proceed for all th8 and lower for hard clans.

Picking up the scattered singles nearly sunk us.

 
Consensus in chat is to go ahead and start the next war. We need to go tonight if we're going at all, or else our timing with FBG2 will be off.

Going to wait until 9pm eastern to start it. We had issues with people trying to get home from work to attack, so hopefully this will help if we push it back a little further. Rough on the West Coast people.

We move pretty freely between FBG1 and FBG2 too, so it's always possible to either sit out a war (FBG1 does 2 a week, FBG2 does 1 a week), or switch over to pick up a third war.

The last 2 wars were by far the closest we've ever had. No one had broken 100 on us until the last war when they were in the 120s. Of course, the war before that, the opponent only scored 12. So hard to say what we'll get each time.

Just so we're clear, neither have we. Our wars usually end in the first 3 to 4 hours like Greg said in game chat earlier today.

On that note, does someone have the number to the CoC addiction hotline?

 
So was there some kind of shift in war CC strategy this time? I missed the discussion. Are we not going Valk-heavy anymore? I couldn't contribute last time because I was squeezing out 3 million elixir for my dragon upgrade, so I'd like to put in for this one. Am I best off making wizards + some valks?

I'm particularly please since they were talking trash during prep day, predicting scores. And posting your record is pretty weak.

Speaking of, we need to change the message again before hitting the button.

 
Question: Pekka don't seem to be used at all by us. Are they just too slow on offense? Too expensive? Too long to build?

What about in war CCs? 2800HP would take a long time to take down and it seems they can dish out a ton of damage. The obvious negative would be she would not target air units.

 
They were classy about it at the end, so I hope anyone posting there is cool about it too. Thought after the Brokeback comment it could get nasty if they lost, but they were pretty cool about it.

I have used pekkas a lot. I basically use a pekka healer strategy

But there is no way they can be useful in war unless maybe you use 7 level 3+ and healers and hope they all stay together which they never do.

They are just too slow, because you still have to draw out cc and bk amd aq

Pekkas are awesome though

A few problems with PEKKAs...one they take forever to cook, cost a ton, need WBs to open walls before the clock runs out and they take a ton of housing space. They can do a ton of damage but I would think a Rage/Heal or jump/Heal would be the only way to go.

 
As far as war CC's go, the big problem would be they would take a long time to beat up an attacking force. Yes huge health, but they swing slowly and only kill 1 unit at a time. Dealing with them would be a lot like dealing with a high level BK. Just give him some barbs to hit one at a time and then nail him with wizards.

The valk is like a lower health pekka who does splash damage, which is what has made her so effective for our lower levels.
