Archer 6 is definitely worth it. It's simple math. When deploying 80-100 of them per raid, the damage adds up significantly. Not to mention that slight health boost allows them to survive certain defenses and finish them off.

If you have the elixir and use barch to farm, it's a no brainer.

Nothing to add to the TH10 discussion. 5 days and counting. I enjoy attacking. I don't like being gimped. Once all the troop upgrades you need are done, I would move on.

One benefit of not being maxed is never having idle builders and having cheap upgrades to cover gaps in resources. I get some people like to max out bases, but it's definitely not a requisite and people shouldn't feel the need to do it. Enjoy the game as you like it. Maxing seems more like a chore than anything. As long as you can farm in mid crystal leagues or masters as a TH9, you shouldn't see much of a difference in looting aside from it being easier. If you make your living off of TH8's and can't handle the higher leagues yet, I would wait until you can.

Troops hardly factor at all. If L3 drags and nearly maxed spells on shuke can't carry me above toast's base then i contend offense hardly counts at all, and shuke carries a BK! Shukes offense was enough to carry over the other one cannons, so it counts for something. It's certainly not a reason to punt valks which have some farming benefits in the bronze level for sure.

So I have a new reindeer game while waiting for them to fix the xbow bug.

Sit at around 2000 trophies.

TH8 now are frequently holding 1500 DE like it's nothing. I'm not sure what max DE is for a TH8, maybe 2250 from a TH9.

I go in with full loon squad, and spells in case I see a monster.

But, if I find a TH8 I try to take the DE with just 100 camp slots. Usually 16 loons and a handful of minions and cc minions + BK, no spells.

TH8 have no xbows so no worries there about up/down/bug and the cc is often easy to pull. Super profitable and can raid at the same build time as barching, but can hit the monsters if you find one.

Most TH9 can get should be 1800 from a TH8 DE storage (2000 * 0.9)

Is this becoming less profitable? You had me considering it. But then in chat I saw you mention you were heading back to master's.

I'll have one builder free, and was thinking of doing as many of the new buildings as possible with the CC gold. I'll have some elix leftover as well. DE drill upgrades or first camp upgrade first? I should also be close to being able to do my AQ2 upgrade.

Is farming ringus still the preferred farm base for early TH9? And I'll need some new war bases, thinking an anti- gowixx, an anti-hog/drag, and something else. Anyone have links for some solid designs? I'll be traveling next week but will be able to get my war attacks in, but I'll need to redo my base quick after I hit TH9 for the Sunday night war.

I'm sort of floating around. With no heroes it's hard to win stars and get DE. I'm gonna see if it's sustainable in masters and if not head back down and hit th8s. Not raiding nearly as much as I was last week. Down from 1/hr to 4-5 a day. So I'm probably going to look for the mega scores of 2500-3500 when I get on rather than two quick 1500s.

That freeze spell is so tempting. I have a very hard time attacking infernos with skulls. So much to the point that I usually just next them and look for TH9s

Im no where near ready and if not for the freeze, would have no pull to TH10

For non-war raiding, the extra troop slots might be the bigger boon from TH10. I do carry a freeze with me on my gowiz regular raiding army, but I try not to use it because of cost and rebuild time.

In war, I find freeze more useful since I have time to find the optimal place to drop it to catch as many defenses as possible in it's effect.

I wouldn't wait on walls. Labs maybe, walls are just a place to put excess loot while waiting on something important like labs or heroes.

We had a tough match up that ended up being close. Had two players not make any attacks. Was referring to that situation.

Same here. I found TH8 earning a little easier than TH9.

I just finished skull walls, no idea if it was worth it, but my lab has not had any downtime so no harm there. Also took my BK to 10 so I can focus on the AQ the early part of TH9.

Well I was saying farming ringus for main base (This is still the best by far imo) and eclipse for war, but after seeing the people hog the #### out of eclipse in our recent war I'm just not sure.

Early TH9 war base now probably needs to be a white-out with room for double bombs and up xbows. Stay away from named bases for war. Copy something you see in another clan and make it fit your needs. The named bases are getting crushed.

The bases on that list are there because they are all documented 3 stars, so I'd stay away from those.

I used to look here a lot: http://forum.supercell.net/showthread.php/341620-COMPILATION-Best-TH9-Trophy-War-bases . I used a modified jellyfish for a while and did fairly well. You won't find a base that will withstand everything, so I think it is helpful to see where you are ranked in our clan. The lower you are, the more likely you will be targeted by a TH8 drag rush, so look for a good anti-drag base to prevent a 3 star. If you have weak walls, you'll have to defend against ground attacks more. I'd recommend against copying a clanmate's base because if the other clan is smart, they'll figure that out, attack your base, and have a blueprint for attacking the stronger base.

No, there is not a way to do this, which stinks. It is the most annoying and time consuming aspect of the game.

We had a war a while ago with a clan that had a webpage describing some of their good bases. It was the clan that brought us the feared football field base. Anybody remember that clan? Their webpage had some good options as well (except for the football base, cf course). I think it may have been American Savage, but I can't find their page.
