I think in general this is a major gamechanger for both gowixx and laloon. Hog guys are probably not affected, they get a slight help because wall are not added and you assume people will put the 2nd farter internal to the base and thereby will squeeze out a potential DGB spot. Poison may help hogs deal with ground skeletons, but lately we see most max bases using air skeletons anyways because hog value is fairly diminished on strong bases already. I had hopes they would do something pro-hog at the TH10 level, but I can't really see anything specifically about this update which does that except maybe to bait people to use more single target infernos.

The biggest drag might be for people that constantly upgrade queens. Dragons in cc are going to be everywhere. On a queen upgrade you will need to pull it to the edge and deal with it somehow. We also need to re-evaluate the calculus that has said that even a L5 queen can phase take down a dragon. It could do L4, but need to do the math check on L5.

I agree with your assessment. Poison will be nice for hogging, but not game-changing.

But don't forget, a kill squad CC can take care of a dragon.

 
I'm probably going to take the new factory to max without even stopping to build any Poison spells. Haste seems like the big payoff to this thing.

Seems a lot of people are reaching the conclusion that Earthquake is completely pointless.
Haste seems to have the potential to be extremely OP

Earthquake is useless but it sounds like EY is gonna max it out insta.

I'm gonna need to see someone use poison at higher levels to see where it fits. Level 1 looks like it serves it's purpose quite well.
You saying that only Lv1 Poison spell is enough to take out your average CC troops such as archers, wizards and/or witches?

I agree with your assessment. Poison will be nice for hogging, but not game-changing.

But don't forget, a kill squad CC can take care of a dragon.
But it could before, so the extra spell won't really help all that much in that respect. I think if hogging you pack a poison and if they are dumb enough to throw out low hp units you use it there, otherwise you use it to slow down the queen while you kill her. Either way hogs took a little bit of a nerf here with the combination of no real boost from the new spells and the HP of the towers all went up. Yes, this impacts everyone but for air you have 8-11 towers that don't do you any damage. That number is only 4 for hogs. So the active HP/DPS has gone up a bit.

 
So many hogging attacks are close at the end that I am concerned that the extra building hit points are going to hurt hoggers the most.

yes/no? We still need to see poison on a cluster of troops to see what would survive.

absolutely. The impact at TH8 on a % level is insane. I'm curious to see if this is devastating to hogs at TH8. probably the low end TH9 stuff still dies to hogs, but they need a new hog level badly to counter this update.

Good point on the effects of more building hps on hogs you two. Hadn't thought of that.

And hogs have been pretty well balanced for awhile now imho, so I could absolutely see a new hog level after SC evaluates these changes.

 
Culd, in the FBGS war I am not entirely sure what my target is supposed to be. i wasn't signed up on that site when you put the assignments in. I see in the history you have pdp ph on 16 and 17. Should I just plan for 16 since that is my +5?

There's a flaw I've been talking with the guy about. You can't distinguish 1st and 2nd attacks on there. They sort them based on numerical order no matter what, but in the next version it will be more clear cut.

I put you matt and scott in a menage on your +5 with you all backing up eachother on a round-robin basis. I've been doing this on the tail end of tiers and it works semi-ok. I think similarly I put Instinct/Warst/Zub in a menage in the tail end of the max TH9 each with their original +5 (maybe).

Ideally, you hit the +5 first unless you just hate it and swap with one of your buddies and be prepared to backup any of them on 2nd or float higher/lower if you all just dominate.

edit, yeah pdp/scott/matt on a 3-way gangbang on 15-17

zub/wars/instinct on a 3-way gangbang on 24-26

I used the gadhii terminology in a hurry

Golem 3 hounds 4 to 6 wiz depending on how ballsy you are with your kill team. 0-2 minions depending on how much cleanup help you like to take, skulls to fill.
