Hey what is the current state of FBG4? I got a friend starting out whos stuck at TH4 and I was hoping to bring him in and ship him troops... is that cool?

Yep. We can open the doors when ready. It looked fishy when he first requested (first post here and calling it serious bus) so it didn't get opened right away.

I can't reliably break walls 4 tiles away from my Earthquake drop target. Sometimes I get them and sometimes I don't. If I drop on the middle of three parallel walls, I break one of the outside walls but not both.

There's more than a small chance this is user error of course, but I have the target zoomed in on a 10" tablet and am taking my time.

I would advise anyone making a war plan that relies on a wall breaking 4 tiles from the drop, practice multiple times in raids to make sure they can do it consistently.

Yep. Seemed fishy at first then I fell asleep before he confirmed.

No, just trying to make a timely joke.

I get the point everyone has made about all the mods and stuff. It sucks, but for whatever it's worth it's hard to remove the cheats entirely. Supercell has probably done at this point everything in their power to stop it without having to force people to do some sort of captcha every time they hit next or scouting a war base.

War is 100% better, not really sure we've seen anyone use a script on us. I'm really not sure what it would look like except perhaps perfect loon drops and spell locations and stuff.

No, just trying to make a timely joke.

Cool. I certainly hope no one inferred that I was advocating we all install xmod. My point was that there remains a significant unfair advantage for the players that use it.

The auto-nexts, the staying online, the revealing of traps while farming... all this to me is cheating, but relatively minor. The ability to perform dry runs before attacking in war is non-trivial though.

And finally there is a legitimate use of the xmod IMO, that SC could provide to lessen the disadvantage to those of us playing fairly. Give us something akin to the sandbox in the single-player campaign. Perhaps each week they could add 5 randomly selected bases of your TH level to the goblin exercise, and allow us to experiment without costs. Something like that would go a long way toward leveling the playing field. Of course that will never happen though.

 
As with last war, I'll need a PM for an attack. Have a couple hounds and loons and wiz built. Can fill out the rest of a golaloon based on the base I need to hit.

But won't be on the game at all, just online.

ETA: If we even want my ####ty attacks. Thought two good 2-stars last war were a good sign and then crapped the bed with first one this war.

HHH gave the blueprint to beat 24, but couldn't overcome the cc drag. I think that's a base that we can get 3.

 
Tools has you on 20 Instinctive. I don't know if the marching orders remain 3 stars or not but if you need 3 I would build

21 loons

5 hogs

5 wiz

1 golem

2 hound

CC hound

Jump heal Ragex3

Send kill squad to queen. Hogs need to behind the golem and deployed in such a way to path the wiz tower so they then go to air defense.

If just two is needed gowoppy and move on.

hogs need a new level asap
Or a new heal level.
Or a new DE spell which takes up one space, but is the DE spell version of Heal.
That doesn't really make a ton of sense.

poison is the half of the zap that just targets units

hastes is the speed part of rage

heal doesn't have a half element to it unlesss.......you made a dark heal spell that worked while in range of an inferno. Otherwise it doesn't fit the theme.

BTW our TH8 on TH8 hoggers are failing pretty bad, how is honda holding up? This new level of cc drag is taking too many troops to kill and with the new hp on the buildings there isn't enough left to cleanup properly.

They need something to offset this new building hp. Everyone in Honda that runs hogs has noticed it. SC tends to go to the end of the spectrum to nerf a troop when they get too powerful. Hogs were approaching that again but with this uptick in building hp they've crushed hogs again. Hate when they do that, they could have tweaked the building some but it seems they've gone way over in the need to help level hogs again.

Like the new training tool, hate with a capital I ####### HATE the new AI, it's awful and essentially nerfs hero's now as well. I split a base down the middle, wide open core, launch heros and they take a lap around the park, drives me nuts.

Certainly not as easy as before.

3 for 4 this war with the one miss being from time. 3 for 8 last war and 3 for 10 before that.

Maybe have a heal that does 125% heal for DE troops?

I don't think they set out to nerf hogs with the hp boost. It was targeted at barch bots if you believe certain people.

ETA: is anyone else seeing a total disappearance of resources? I haven't had a huge non-core score in a week now. If I don't blast through some walls and rage my BK with 50 Barbs around him I'm not getting very much these days.

Doesn't make you spend gems. I think it's pretty clear that ever update they do is squarely focused on boosting gem sales. And it's cool, they are a for profit business, I don't have a problem with it. I also think they do listen to the masses and try to improve the game based on feedback but not at the cost of sacrificing gem investment.

Doesn't make you spend gems. I think it's pretty clear that ever update they do is squarely focused on boosting gem sales. And it's cool, they are a for profit business, I don't have a problem with it. I also think they do listen to the masses and try to improve the game based on feedback but not at the cost of sacrificing gem investment.

According to superfarmer, Ash, Silver 2 is the place to be.

I tend to follow the basic pattern of clash forecaster and raid at midnight pacific, since I only get in 1 or 2 per day. I generally find 200/200+ in the collectors without too much problem in Crystal 2

Minimum of 500 DE to break the walls down. Poor ROI.

It's a little pricey for DE farming. But maybe.

4 if it's a huge pile, but even one makes the WBs go where you want them to go more easily so that 2nd (and maybe 3rd) layer of wall is going to be taken down quicker.

Cheaper in DE to use 4 quakes with GiBarch than make a hound and 30 minions for a lavaloon raid.
Apples and oranges. It should be 10-12 WBs vs 4 quakes.GiBarch, with a heal or two, to the core is still the easiest/cheapest way for loot.

Fwiw, I've noticed a difference in hogs as it has slowed their progression and really impacted surgical strikes. In fact I'm taking that off the attack list all together.

I think I'm going to research valks though. My th9 base was destroyed by a th9 govalwi past war in convincing fashion. Yes, my base had all of the standard war base requirements.
