And that's another issue with 50. Can't get better against farmers.
We need to come to some sort of consensus. At our base weights and hero levels we are going to struggle vs. all but the most hopeless clans.

This will be 3 war losses in a row, the first time ever that's happened. In fact, I think only once before did we lose 2 in a row prior to the current streak. (fact check this, I'm lazy).

50 has a lot of farmers, yes. But it also have a lot of xp farmers that try a little, but not too seriously. Very few serious clans go as 50. It's just too hard to manage.

We can try 45, 45/45 hasn't been great to us but it's mostly sample size error.

What is the big deal at trying and losing but hopefully learning? I feel that I have gotten more reliable via air raids than I was say 3 months ago (last war not-withstanding). Now I'm going to start working on the TH10 ground strikes. :shrug:

I love a challenge - and absolutely hate farm wars.

Like learning new strategies and seeing different ways to attack and different types of defenses.

Our opponent this war has 40/40 heros from 1 to 8. We do not have anyone with Max heros. The matchup is just brutal. After a while it gets extremely frustrating.

Well, we aren't alone. I thought our mix would be ok, but I've been reading some SC forums a little more rather than reddit. They have more clan diversity there. Clans like us which are 50/50 two different TH and weak heroes are really struggling. There are alot of super strong 50/50 clans out there. Clans with hundreds more hero levels than us. Clans with 100+ wins are now dropping 6, 7, 8 in a row.

If hero weight stays this low, and there's no indication it will change ever, then there's alot to say there is nearly no hope for the forseeable future.

 
Still waiting for loot to rebound. Found a dead base today for the first time since the update. I'm getting kinda bored with nexting and am raiding a lot less as a result.

So what do we know about poison against heroes? Reduced effectiveness, right? By how much?

There are times when 3 poisons might be a good option, especially in 2-star strats. Pretty much everyone uses dragon + skulls nowadays (way to make the game homogeneous, poison spell!). Use 2 to eliminate the skulls and hold one for skelly traps or to slow down an enemy hero (not sure how effective the latter is though)

 
4 poison, 1 rage, 3 haste have legs? 4 poison will just about take out a drag. Penta the rest and some raged pups should finish off the drag.

Do multiple poisons stack as far as slow goes? Maybe something like Quake where it's not linear?

i.e. do two level two poisons slow something 30% (no stacking), or 51% (70 - (70*.3))?

 
For the moment the only thing I see in the pros is use of poison for hog raids to kill trailing skeletons after hogs. If there was a more efficient use they probably would have "practiced" it by now.

Pros will use poison on a cc full of skulls to slow them down to a crawl, and keep in mind max poison takes a loon down to 10HP. But vs. a drag/loon combo it seems like a waste if hogging.

2 yellow arrows are hogs? Doubt they go so far there are only 4-5 hogs.

Appreciate the hel but nOt sure this was a good idea - hard to follow. Lot of moving parts

Yes there are a crap ton of moving parts. Timing is important. You have the basic idea but its critical to get the south funnel set too

Meh, it's new. Your second was solid. I actually went down a percentage. 2 1*'s. I'm going to keep farming with the ground army until I become useful....or this whole thing disbands, whichever comes first.

After thinking about it more I think it's going to have to be some combination.

Me and culdeus - th10 duty

SMN and Instinctive - floating

Shammy and Scott - th9

Something of that nature, break it up based on queen level

 
I can 3-star pretty much any TH9 at this point, I think, if I have both heroes. When I'm down one hero like I have been recently, I have to dip a little lower in the TH9s. But I'm most confident crushing TH9s, so that's probably the best use of my skills.

That said, if we think we need me to hit TH10s for 2, I can work on that as well. I've got PEKKA going to L4 right now, and then I can research either PEKKA to L5 or Golem to L5.

If we want me to keep focusing on air, I'll probably use lab to upgrade haste instead. Just let me know whatever the clan needs.

I had just mentioned this in game chat, but, you and I should probably swap roles in the Tam directive. I've got Pekka and Golems maxed already. Now I just need to work on the actual attacks. :)

edit: nevermind, I am told my heros are too puny. :shrug:

I won't see any game chat until tonight, most likely, so appreciate any role discussions and such being recapped on here afterwards for edification.

 
If we are going to compete we have to be a little more realistic about who needs to maybe drop down and hit the TH9s and understand that the weak TH10s need to be left to the professionals.

With the exception of Fudd and CJ our sub 20/20 TH10 likely need to be demoted to hitting exclusively TH9. I love ron, but the guy is really over matched at this point. If we could develop a new crew of 17000+ TH9 assassins it would be most useful. Acer, Zub, Inst, AZ, Sham, warst, with SMN on cleanup most often. All of these really lack the heroes to hit bases above 22000, but have the troops to murder the 17-18000 variety. They just need to practice in that range more. (Sham, exception here)

This leaves Tam, Myself, and Jason attempting 3* strats on weak and or exploitable TH10 and occasionally cleaning up TH9.

Leaves our TH9 hitting below 17000, and hitting above it likely after a scout or if the base is just awful.

Leaves the rest of our TH10 shooting at the TH10.

If we are going to compete we have to be a little more realistic about who needs to maybe drop down and hit the TH9s and understand that the weak TH10s need to be left to the professionals.

2 star every base 3 star 30-40 gets us to 90. Not impossible

They setup their bases perfectly. The ones that were weak to air they used dragons, the ones that were strong to air used hounds. Used mostly anti 3 star bases in TH9 and mostly anti 2 star bases in TH10 and we executed 4 raids out of 41 of any value. (yes, practicing etc. etc.)

I quit watching our attacks but point me to a th9 with a dragon or a th10 with a hound. I saw the same cc makeup by th level across the board.

Some of the top TH10 had hounds right? The low ones had drags. Didn't lowmax run into a drag? I'll go look.
