Caller only works if people check it. Or at least check in on chat. We had numerous people show up and fire away without any gameplan. At one point we had someone attack 28 (our 6th? 7th? Try), and not 4 lines below I stated in chat "nobody else try 28". Granted, I'm no supreme leader here, but just trying to avoid the horror of another 1 star attack on that base, when SMN was building to destroy it. (Which he did)
I get that not everyone has time to check caller, and some have issues with the site. In the end, we just need people to ask in chat if there is a plan.

That'll change as we use it more IMO. Still new to most people in the clan. It literally takes 30 seconds to check. Leave the tab open in your browser and refresh. If people can't bother to check that... Yeah.
Honda and Quattro used it all the time with few issues.

We used to use it a lot, that's what I don't get. It's not new. Tools was helpful to see who had heroes down, but it's not as reliable of a site lately, at least for me on iOS. Caller is about as simple as it gets.

This is part of the reason I left (probably only temporarily). SML, Tam, and myself screamed for an hour straight to not attack 28 as SMN was going to kill it. Afterwards, we wasted yet another attack on it. 5 minutes later, Craig asked for a gameplan on 28 and again needed to be told to leave it alone. I'll give people a pass for not checking a website, but there are at least 5 people who cant even be bothered to scroll down and spend 30 seconds reading the chat. It kills any chance we have on winning when we have a winnable war, let alone a war where we need to be completely organized.
And then there is Craig. Constantly complaining about the war start time and how its too early, therefore preventing him to attack. Yet war in and war out, he spends 12 hours of the 24 hour war span on chat, and still can't find time to attack? Today he was on chat for the last 3 hours and didn't use either one of his attacks. Its hit or miss if he will attack even tho he is on everyday. To me, its just another thing preventing us from being able to organize. Need a break from his shenanigans.

Tools make sense if you have someone like Culd who is going to put in the time to set everything up and assign bases. I don't see any value in it otherwise. If people can't be bothered to put a call in caller or check it, they won't be updating their hero status.

Agreed, and that's my basic point- caller is too easy, and even if someone can't or won't check it, know that we do have a plan, just ask. And it allows for just about anyone to try and direct traffic at the end. As I said in chat, I'm not the best strategy guy around, but I can scan caller, look at the attacks left, and try to help in chat .But with caller, any of us can do that to help avoid confusion at the end.~SMLiteguy

I support this idea. Most of us aren't jerks and always welcome people back after a rage quit, sabbatical or miss d attacks. But, I like the idea of opting people out that miss attacks. No big.And as for people missing attacks, sit them out the next war

Maybe they will do something to re energize the game. Like the daily or weekly challenges. That would be the only way I would stick around long time. I would like to war and get better, but I fall into the I dont care enough to check caller crew which is why Im opt out. I do always check chat before I attack so there is that

Just max TH10 and keep warring.
I honestly don't think a clan will want just one or two TH11s as it will put you into a more serious level of competition.

They are running ####ty gowipes. Including a 40/40 gowipe vs a TH9 and struggling to get 50%. This is what happens when you get people that don't war, and spend all day going for 1/2 stars to convert to 3.

Forum consensus is it is a support troop for a kill team like element to a raid. The fact that it costs elixer to build might mean it costs elixer to level (hopefully)
Except that he does know a person who works for SC, and I believe - as I was going in and out of sleep - he said that was from that person.
Plus they have almost zero planning time and no sandboxing. What your watching is very different than the 2-day wars we are familiar with. It's safer to go for a 2-star than throw out a risky 3-star attempt that could totally whiff.

Or maybe they should have asked some people that you know. Actually war? Someone on twitch said they are in the 100-200 war star range for most part but have hit the 4000+ range in cups. Hitting 4000 as a th9 is no joke but it's a different game and sc hasn't realized this yet. I think they might now. Even Pat realizes this is embarrassing.

I thought my war attacks were pretty good indicators that I dont study up on the game
Not a lot of new stuff. TH11, new defense, new hero (believed to be a mage/cleric/healing hero), and new Centaur troop are the big items so far.
I like Jake's videos and view of modders, but he was criticizing Supercell and some of the panelists. Not sure it's surprising they banned him from viewing their feed.
