We got our butts handed to us by a Polska clan again. This one seemed to at least play fair. VA got 3 starred by an 18 max witch attack. It was quite the sight to see a wave of 180 undead.
Couple takeaways:
1. BB is a master architect and found holes in walls of both AZ and Smack that need fixed before next war. (Doubt AZ will read this, though.)
2. AZ, you don't use the Wardens ability on deployment. I'm not sure if you think that is what adds his HP buff for everything or not. I can't tell. Its the invincibility that lasts for a few seconds and should be used once near the core. (see comment from #1 above)
3. Single IT are just an invitation for mass witch and shouldn't really be used anymore.
4. I think our benching of people that don't make attacks has been well received. Whether it fixes behavior, remains to be seen.
5. We need a couple TH8 in our mix to help with matches.

I have to apologize to Jonathan and Noah, often they see these adults arguing and I think it stresses them out a bit. Jonathan and Noah are the model citizens and they will never be asked to leave. I know Noah has asked a few times if he's getting kicked in the past, not sure if he sees everyone chatting back not to worry. These arguments have been more or less isolated to night time. So if the kids are awake past around 10pm PST, that's on you.
The events of last three days didn't develop overnight. It has been a long time coming. It was a numbers decision, lose a chunk of the accounts in Honda that actually keep it moving or bite the bullet and ask two people to leave. Apologies to all affected by this, but let's move on. No good can come of discussing it further, the perceived secrecy is to keep this from becoming he said she said and hurt people's feelings even worse.

My booting will be purely about you disliking me for reasons that are beyond me. It was almost darkly comedic how much you hated me. No matter what I did, how I did it, how much space I'd try to give you, you would always find a reason to complain.
For my TH8 account, where I'd war almost constantly... You'd complain because you said I was one of our better hitters so I should let others choose their base first, then you'd complain because I was waiting for everyone else to go first... You'd complain about my 3 star hits... One time you complained that I both choose too easy and too hard of bases within moments of your first complaint. There was nothing I could do to make this work.
As for my TH10 account. Yeah I didn't include it war that much. Believe me when I say you didn't exactly make me want to deal with you any more than I had to.
Some people may wonder why I stayed around. I've been around Honda since the early days... I've seen and helped some of these guys along the way get their starts as a Co-Leader. I like this group of guys, and I really don't have any problems with them. I want to see them succeed.
Last time you had a problem with me, you vowed to make me as uncomfortable as possible so I'd leave. So am I floored that you are booting me, absolutely not. lol. But lets not pretend this is anything more than your personal preference.

Also, and yes I will toot my own horn here, but TH11 are able to be 2 starred with a dragsmash. I think it was Lowmax who gave me the "freeze the eagle" tip, forgive me if it was someone else, I still don't have a coc to fbgs username thesaurus. Granted, all air d were shaded to one side. Triple Zapquake the multi inferno/AQ/TH . Sacrifice heroes to trim the edges. Freeze the eagle once it's starts firing. Rage the core. Party with naked chicks.Sputnikv8 said:

There's a lot of churn out there. The update has thrown off the th9 war scene alot. Some still can't really adjust to the new stuff and are getting kicked and some are getting fed up and shopping for new places.
Gotten to the point where if you can't execute at about a 75% clean and 50+ fresh you won't be long for the world in most clans that cut.

Offense is already too strong imo.
Still searching for a TH11 war base that can hold to just one star. It's virtually impossible.

I know I keep saying this, but this is where they might lose me.
My Warden is only level 7 and all of my elix is going to him. I have not upgraded my lab yet and I would love to get max minions. I just dont have the amount needed while upgrading warden also.
My hero upgrades have taken a backseat to spell upgrades because of my inability to let my lab sit idle. So I only have poison 4 left and was excited to use all DE on hero upgrades. That wont happen now.
sigh. Ill keep playing Im sure, but man, I cant keep up

The basis behind this was the team of youtubers that went to see the CR release. Apparently they pushed the devs of COC and they said their highest priority is bringing war balance to TH10. Since then there appears to be some inside leaks coming out, plus maybe an accidental previous apk leak that points to a new dark troop at a minimum.
The leak long ago was a troop with either extremely long range, slow reload, or something akin to a mole that goes underground between attacks.
Given that they did ultimately in that same leak show that dark spell donations, and that came true, I'm starting to buy this hype.

TH9 meta bases are getting cracked these days with of all things, valks. Really long video. You can get the idea in just 3 or 4 raids.

I think these what I call hallway bases, and cow udder bases (If you watch any war recaps lately you know what I mean) are particularly vulnerable to this type of raid.

Those are pretty much identical to all the hogs runs we've been doing just subbing valks for witches. Does that mean we're meta?

God it feels awesome to be meta. I even mentioned to someone in Honda (beer/Jester/Rascal. Can't remember) the other day how I want to try valks instead of witches once I get them upgraded. That is some pre-meta #### right there.

It's funny. I actually passed around your videos to people. Got some interesting feedback. I think the main idea why valks>witches for the manner in which you use them is that one poorly timed mortar can put the witch at basically 0HP. Since you want them to pop gbs a valk can live through a double reasonably well even at L2. In fact, L2 valks as an upgrade is pretty powerful vs. TH9.
In addition, valks due to their speed can attract DPS earlier than even golems allowing the queen to get deep without being touched and often times hang around for cleanup if the hog deployment is set down in such a way that she never sees much dps.

A lot has to go wrong to lose witches to a mortar. With the Golems, skellies and heroes in front of them, mortars targeting them are of little concern. Biggest issue with them is getting them to stay funneled and to stay with there skellies. Same thing with hitting bombs. Skellies are so far ahead, it isn't much of a concern to lose the witch to them. Valks would work because they will go so far ahead that they'll also trigger bombs and have higher HP. Downside is that they do not shoot over walls, are susceptible to spring traps and have finite HP.
Pros and cons for each. I'm eager to test them out and perhaps a combo with witches could work. Just started L3 so it'll be a while...

Also, skellies are excellent for distracting a slow ### dragon, pups and AQ. Valks are useless vs every CC.
