Clash of Clans (Official thread) (6 Viewers)

ok fellas, I think we got this if we can triple 11 down.  Gonna need some assistance directing traffic so here are the thoughts

1/2 - smack/va

4 - leave for now, bb myself or lomax on possible 2 star duty

6 - bb?

10 - War drag smash (get ad at 10 with heros, zap other), OR white bandits clover buster

12 - lomax, backup tbd

15 - g1 following jordans plan

16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 - yoga, yank, uhm, speedwadx2, channing, g1x2, war/bandits

Culd is late to the GiGob game! :)
What spells do you use with this?

I assumed just one jump since anything more would ruin the main advantage of a quick build -- but, based on real-world results, I'm going to guess maybe that's not right?

Sticking with Giants/Wiz if I gotta take the time to build the spells anyway.

I just fill the spell factory with alternating rage/jump. If I find a base that needs a heal, 'next'.

For TH9, assuming a full set of spells with 1 back-cooked:

Raid 1: 2 Spells used (3 spells remaining)

20 minute troops + 1 spell

Raid 2: 2 spells used (3 remaining)

20 minute troops + 1 spell

Raid 3: 2 spells used (2 remaining)

20 minute troops + 1 spell

Raid 4: 2 spells used (1 remaining)

20 minute troops + 1 spell

Raid 5: 2 spells used (0 remaining)

5 raids in an 1:20 before you are waiting on spells. Should net you between 10000-15000DE depending on fails, monster finds, etc.

So, if I can summarize...

1) use spells

2) take advantage of new TH9 goblin level ASAP

3) don't hit TH10s
1) Yes

2) Yes.

3) No. Hit TH10s as much as possible. More DE. Double multis right beside the DE is usually a no-no. Also look for single infernos.

Pop into fbgs for a few minutes and we can show you some replays.

TH10's are definitely fair game, no heroes needed. I almost maxed by heroes hitting only TH10's with L6 Giants and L5 goblins. A TH9 can surely make a killing on TH10's with L6 giants and L6 gobs.

Stop by fbgs for an hour or two. There's plenty of replays we can show you.

And you will fail. Probably quite a bit at the start. Really ####### sucks when you jump your giants in, set your rage, then watch 120 gobs go running to an empty gold mine in the other corner of the map.

Once you get the hang of it and start to pick the proper bases, it is super easy.

As a 10, you'll want to be hitting 10's and 11's. The amount of splash damage (Wiz, BBs) in your path will determine if a heal is needed. Jump is required most of the time unless the person with the base is stupid. Rage is usually required for multi Infernos on 10's or in the situation where your giants either didn't make it into the core because of a slight case of death or they pathed away.

So as a 10 I use Jump/Rage on most hits, with heals sometimes. Hitting 11's pretty much requires Heal use as your Giants will be under Artillery fire.

I can get away with continuously hitting without gemming my spell factory with the new spell bake times, most of the time.

If anyone wants to add me on groupme I can help with plans alot more. Planning hits in game makes me want to swallow a revolver.  I feel bad because I sort of half drew up something for BB that would have worked but the spell placement needed an adjustment that would have been easily conveyed on a messaging app.

I've gotten to the point where I can flip a plan through skitch in a matter of 60 seconds.

I also post random pics of the clash babes boobs and ###.

Agree with Cliff here... Base selection is where you will either succeed or fail most of the time. Choose well, and successful DE extraction is almost guarenteed.

Think I need to stick to TH9s for now.  Got Goblins to path right on both 10s, but walked away with nothing except a bunch of dead Goblins.

TH9s (jordan and g1 too), please take a base from the Japan clan.

14-21 all in play.   Just post something in here so we don't have duplicates

Nah. Seriously, pop in for a few minutes and check out some replays. I hit nothing but 10s and 11s using TH9 troops. As a TH9 hitting those, you'd crush it.

I put my AQ down Sunday night (155k of the 170k I had) and am already back to over 120k. No boosting. Just get the notification, raid, build, log off. Rinse repeat.

Watching again it was dual multi-infernos on one, and they diverted to the TH on the other.  Will pop in after this war.

Yep, was exactly my initial learning curve....

Once you get a feel for it though, it's very effective.

Biggest thing is picking the right bases. Once you figure that out, you will earn quick. I got bored of it quick though.

You're talking to a guy who went from BK5/AQ5 to BK15/AQ15 permaraiding outside the walls using only goblins and heroes.  I'm not in a hurry anymore, but GiGobbing to the core sounds like a fiesta in comparison.

That is far worse than gigob. I did it with JR at the start of TH9. Just 220 gobs on boost, hammering collectors and using AQ to hit drills. Awful. Awful. Awful. Make a killing in gold and elixir but my god it sucks. gigob at least takes a wee bit of skill in picking the base and funneling.

For those looking to get started with GiGob, some tips...

1) Compartmentalized bases work the best at first. Choose a base where you can path streams of Giants and Gobs into the core. Often this is best done by using Jump spells (use as many you want, but I stick to 1 unless it's REALLY good) opening up appropriate compartments that won't path your Giants/Gobs away from the Core/DE.

2) Your goal is to have your Gobs enter the core the same time your Giants do. The lower your Gob level the more important this is especially for attacking TH10's with multi shot infernos.

3) Funnel your gobs, destroy loot building on either side of your entry point. Small Giant/Gob attacks to delete these buildings first will keep your primary Gobs headed into the base. Some people use arch for this.

4) Try to choose a path where your giants can clear BB spots early.

5) Rage... Rage is specifically for the Gobs. It is important for High level Multishot infernos. It isn't always required, but great as a guarantee. It's placement is always along the path the gobs will be running just barely overlapping the building that is the most important to you (TH/Container).

If I can think of more, I'll post them later...

I think at TH11 if trying to three star then you would likely not start with a queen walk.  Those camp slots arr likely better invested in more valks and use an early warden phase + rage to power thru the initial section.

I think people are leaning along these lines

TH11 3 star hits - 19 valks and 7-10 hogs.  1 golem used to tank for queen and tank the eagle till it's rip.

Th11 2 star and TH10 3 star hits - Healers on queen, lead in to core with valks and use hogs to take care of isolated tanked defenses. Something like 12 valks 9 hogs +/-

TH9 2 star hits on TH10 - Healers on queen to set a funnel, giantwiz set one side of a funnel then 17-19 valks straight up gut across the TH and try to get both infernos down with one jump/rage.  In this way you are using valks in a similar manner to a GiGob.  So this might just be second nature to many of you.

For TH11 if your queen is L17 or higher and you have max hogs then you can run more hogs and use the warden to protect hogs from dying to a double giant bomb.  This is useful.

Think we just learned the best CC vs Valks.

Golem + Skull + multi inferno = no more valks.
The golem splash can wreck a group if you aren't healing it.  A pack of healed valks into a golem splash will just glide thru it. On a fresh hit it's important to pull the CC.  If it's just a stupid hound then carry on.  The loon in the cc is not a big deal.  Unless your aim sucks a loon under poison will never get a shot off vs valks.  They move too fast.

When doing valks time isnt as big a factor so you can approach them with the idea that you can pull the cc.

I wouldn't worry about this war, these guys are modders, ####ty modders, but modders. They are two levels down from ITD.

Thanks a lot you ########s, been issued a directive to not even try gobs because there is a new bot script with gobs that is crushing people out there and we can't be giving the appearance of running farm bots.  I was actually gonna drop and try to work on unbreakable and use gobs to keep cups down.

You need to get farm raids approved by your bosses? oof.

Not so much that, but people are #####ing about farm bots getting really strong so you don't want to give the appearance that you bot.  The clan I was in busted one just last week. Actually, it was me that finally documented the evidence after seeing some suspicious stuff with the guy.   Apparently you don't even need a jailbreak anymore and can run them from your phone without even having a mod installed.  They are just little auto touch scripts.  The next update is supposed to have anti-bot features.  Of course SC sees value in this because it cuts into their bottom line.

If only there was a clan that allows GiGob.
