So, do news people have to ask permission to use this footage now? Was it always like that with YouTube videos? It would be good practice to use it and give a description as to who filmed it but do they need permission to use it?

I was surprised he didn't swing further inward before dropping, then again that would have meant one more larger swing outward and I can understand him wanting to split the difference.
