CMC and Pacheco for Taylor and Waddle? (1 Viewer)

I really can't lose any more games in a redraft league and am stuck with a roster of injured players (just lost Godwin). Received an offer of Jonathan Taylor and Jaylen Waddle for CMC and Isiah Pacheco. That's been the best offer I've seen for my injured RBs. I think that's about the only way for me to get enough wins to have an outside shot of a wildcard. Am I crazy to want to accept this?

Probably a little. There is no guarantee that Taylor will be playing anytime soon with his ankle injury. Waddle will be dependent upon Tua and his health. It's fine and you at least get a player that will be on the field this week but not sure if this helps you all that much in the near term to get wins.

CMC is. Bust imo and Pacheco is still out for a week or 2 more. They can’t get you points while on your bench.
I would be tempted to make the trade if I needed the wins

Last I saw / heard / read, Pacheco was probably out until mid- to late- November. The Chiefs aren't losing, and Hunt is doing enough to not hurt the team (fantasy RB15 since he started playing this year). There really isn't a pressing need to get Pacheco rushed back into the lineup. CMC is probably going to give it a go in Week 10, and who knows how big a workload he'll see once he comes back. I can probably lose once more this season to hopefully end up in a tiebreaker for the playoffs.

The offer got pulled and replaced with either Taylor and Kirk . . . or Hubbard and Waddle. Or Harrison / CMC / Pacheco for Hubbard / Taylor / Waddle. Hmmm.

I know no one really cares about anyone else's team, but I went from 2-4 before this trade to 6-5 and back in the playoff mix after moving off of CMC and Pacheco. Have to keep winning and hope for some luck with other teams to make the post season (as things stand now, will lose all tie breakers).

If my math is right, will end up making playoffs as a WC as the other teams all lost. Currently on a 5-game winning streak. Played this one about as good as possible with CMC done and Pacheco not back to a full time role.

definitely worked out well but Hubbard moving forward scares me a bit. His touches have lessened as Brooks gets more comfortable. But either way CMC being done makes this a win no matter what.

I'm not too concerned about Brooks for the rest of this season. CAR gave Hubbard a big contract. Brooks has had games with 2 and 9 touches since he came back. In those games, Hubbard had 17 and 12 touches . . . but the 12-touch game they couldn't run the ball against TB (neither could Brooks). Hubbard has a decent matchup to start the playoffs (DAL), who IIRC ranks Bottom 3 in fantasy scoring to RB. Not a lot I can do about it at this point either way.

Rode Achane and Hubbard into the finals next week with a chance to go back-to-back after winning last year. Proof positive that even with major injuries (CMC, Pacheco, Godwin, Olave), you can still salvage your season.

I know no one cares about anyone else's team, but this turned into a masterclass on how to manage your roster. Was 2-5 and then traded CMC and Pacheco for Achane and Hubbard. Went 9-1 since then, winning the title by 60 points yesterday to go back-to-back. Technically, it's my son's team, but I advised him on pretty much everything all season long (last year and this year). I kept telling him to take a chip and a chair approach . . . just need to figure out a way to make the playoffs and anything can happen. It was a great way to reconnect with him (he's in his 20's) . . . texting all day long about trade offers, player updates, injuries, who's on the wire, etc. He's pretty happy to take home $1K.

Congrats David. Well done on your part.
